(Ann Arbor News)   When your grow operation is giving all the neighbors a contact high, it's probably time to tone it down a bit. Fark: the cops only care about the odor, not the reason   (annarbor.com) divider line 5

This is why you put carbon scrubbers on your exhaust vents, dumbass.  A successful grow operation in a residential area is an undetected operation.

For starters, you don't want to piss off your neighbors since they can report you to the city.  It is no different than not being that inconsiderate jerk with too many chickens in his backyard stinking up the neighborhood.

The other big reason is because you don't want a smash and grab robbery.  All you need is for the wrong person to walk by and notice the odor, or for somebody to notice it and then through word-of-mouth make its way to the wrong person.  Not only is your crop gone, but your house is probably smashed.  And woe to the person living in the house if they're robbed by a messed up meth tweaker with a gun.

As a neighbor, why not empty a can of expansion foam into that vent at 4 am?

Problem solved for under 10 bucks.

SpinStopper: Try living next to a sheep ranch. That's an odor that you REALLY can't do anything about ;)

Goetz: Try a pig farm with 2000 head when the wind turns.

Now I know where to build my next grow op.

As I recall from too far back in the day, marijuana has a rather pleasant odor.

Since I live in Colorado, I'll check my memory and report back.

Goetz: Deman: If the smell is only prevalent at certain times, is it a grow op in their basement or are they cooking up hash?

Yes, cooking hash.
This is a person who knows his hashish.
Cooking brings out the best. Doesn't it?
I bow to this expert.

How do you cook up hash? I've seen some YT vids and you either use bubble bags, beat the weed over screens, or you use your hands so the resin sticks to it and you scrape it off..
