De Karekieten ("The Reed Warblers") are a Dutch group that apparently recorded racist Christmas music and nothing else. Sint Nicolaasliedjes ("St. Nicolas Music") was released in 1966, when blackface was on its way out. That said, we've talked about the not-technically-but-still-totally-racist Dutch tradition of donning the most offensive makeup job available for the holidays previously on Cracked.

David Sedaris explained this better. I think it was in Me Talk Pretty One Day, please correct me if it's a different book, somebody.

Also, this is indubitably the best Christmas song ever:

Tales From the Crypt had a Christmas album about 15 years ago. I particularly liked "Deck the halls with parts of Charlie".

I go back & forth between it and the original Christmas Eve & Other Stories, probably because I've performed the original so damned many times now.

\in a TSO tribute band
\\not that CBC is bad, it's my favorite non-TSO Christmas music

Well, it's not really Christmas music at all. It's just standard light jazz. The only reason it's a Christmas album is its inclusion in a treacly Peanuts cartoon.

I would rather stick a clothespin on my nose and sing "Silent Night". It costs less and sounds the same.
