Well, we've owed them a return gift ever since we got the Statue of Liberty. You're welcome, France.

Don't think we have anything to worry about, French women have perfected the art of sucking on meat without eating it.

At the McCafes in France, they sell macarons and that's rather sweet and fattening.

France is McDonald's second most profitable and eighth biggest market. United States comes in at number one of course.

It's probably that Kronenbourg 1664, IIRC. Kronenbourg is rather awful. The French don't know how to make good beer and how to pour in a certain glass.

Let's not forget that it's because McDonald's is almost the only franchise in France, with the Belgian Quick a distant second, and KFC with only an anecdoctal presence. We don't have all the other brands that you've got in the USA.

In France, all references to ''Taco Bell'' in ''Demolition Man'' where changed to ''Pizza Hut'', because, no, we don't have any Taco Bell.

French women will stay the way they are because they move. I've seen slender women in Paris eating all kinds of high calorie foods, but I'm sure (unlike a lot of Americans) they eat that stuff in moderation and move around a lot.

This. Also, I doubt they're eating the high-calorie foods each and every day, along with a giant soda to wash it down.

Moderation, folks.

I heard she got that way by starving during the blitz, so she may not be the best example.

Considering she looked reasonably like that for a good bit of her life, I doubt she was starving herself for the Blitz in the 80s

There was an article, I think on Fark a while back, about how starvation during teens tends to change one's body chemistry in some way that makes it difficult to gain weight in the future. I'm not finding the right keywords to bring up the article in Search but I think this is either the same article or same content: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2031505/Audrey-Hepburn-Is-ke y-stopping-obesity-epidemic.html

dated a french/irish girl 30+ years ago. blonde, blue eyes, creamy light white complexion like a red head. cute little nose, lightly freckled. upon orgasm her upper chest would turn from light white to a very rosy hue that would slowly spread up her neck. my heart is still broken.
