Great side effect. Why would anyone want this world to have more children other than for selfish reasons. Yes, those of you who make babies are bad people.

FarkinSneakyBastage: GIS for 'Carl Sagan Pot'. I hope he actually said this.

This is officer Martoya Lang. She's a mother of four, and a decorated veteran of the Memphis Police's organized crime unit. In her 10 years on the force, she didn't have ONE complaint on her.

She was killed December 14th serving a warrant on a gang in South Memphis. She was leading the entry team on a narcotics warrant when a 20 year old man shot her in the armpit, and severed her aorta and spine. She shoved her partner out of the way to keep him from getting shot in the face.

The warrant was for these gentlemen selling pot. The amount found, they would have been back on the street in hours, and Lang would have been home with her family.

Legalize the shiat already. Too many people have died for prohibition.

BronyMedic: FarkinSneakyBastage: Absolutely this. Even shows that dabble in this now and then still always show the moron hippie pot smoker. Some tv show or movie needs to give us a better pot role model.

What an actual pot smoker might look like.

To bring up another item for debate: testing.

Why do I have to pee in a cup to work at a gas station when people who go to work on the Large Hadron Collider (not even out of college yet) don't get as much as a second look? I suppose reading IDs requires every bit of mental integrity more-so than putting together a farking particle smasher.

Huh...a confessed alcoholic who has never smoked marijuana and decries the culture. I would guess that the number of marriages that got into trouble over pot or firings due to pot is dwarfed a thousand times by the numbers of marriages/jobs that were ruined over alcohol.

Alcohol use is the strongest predictor of domestic violence. Alcohol is also the strongest predictor of auto-related deaths,

Quoting from the article linked at the bottom attributed to the CDC:

Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 48 minutes. The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $51 billion.

In 2010, 10,228 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (31%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States.

In 2010, over 1.4 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. That's one percent of the 112 million self-reported episodes of alcohol-impaired driving among U.S. adults each year.

Drugs other than alcohol (e.g., marijuana and cocaine) are involved in about 18% of motor vehicle driver deaths. These other drugs are often used in combination with alcohol.
This is an interesting statistic - so we already know that alcohol is solely involved in 31% of accidents. We cannot say the other 18% are due to "other drugs" as the article admits that even this 18% of drug-related accidents ALSO involve alcohol in many cases.

Drinking proceeds acts of family violence in 25 to 50% of all cases of domestic violence. A word on this - it would seem alcohol is a factor in a minority of domestic violence cases involving battery or, at best, half of all incidents. Still, think about how many cases of abuse could be rid were alcohol illegal.

Changing subjects a bit, let's look at the social cost of tobacco use:

More deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by all deaths from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined.

So hmmmm...where is pot in all this? Seriously, how many deaths in 2009 were caused by pot? Zero!!!! And if you wonder whether this is a guess or some kind of pro-pot propaganda, let's look again to what the CDC says (link below)...

Cause of death (Data from 2009 unless otherwise noted)1 Number

All Causes 2,437,163
Diseases of Heart 599,413
Malignant Neoplasms 567,628
Chronic Lower Respiratory Diseases 137,353
Cerebrovascular Diseases 128,842
Lack of Health Insurance3 (2005) 44,789
Poisoning 41,592
Drug-Induced2 39,147
Intentional Self-Harm (Suicide) 36,909
Septicemia 35,639
Motor Vehicle Accidents 34,485
Firearm Injuries 31,347
Alcohol-Induced 24,518
Illicit Drugs (2000) 17,000
Homicide 16,799
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) 9,406
Viral hepatitis 7,694
Cannabis (Marijuana) 0

So...according to the CDC - the governing body is charge of statistics like the above, says itself there were 0 (zero) deaths attributed to marijuana use.
