I had to check myself to see if I had taken some mushrooms or LSD by accident.
Stewart Downing having a good game in the league.
Stewart Downing.
I still don't believe it.

Tiote banned for the trip to MUFC.

Never mind, not as if defensive midfielders are of much use at Old Trafford. Sigh

As things stand, Liverpool is moving to 8th in the table on goal difference (+3 to Stoke's +2 and Norwich's -7).

As long as Fulham doesn't get one back, we're in the top half entering Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, 'Arry is letting his players have it:

"There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money for what they are; far, far, far too much money for their ability and what they give to the club.

"I don't really want to see the owners have their pants taken down like they have in the past. There's a lot of agents made money out of them."

QPR boss Harry Redknapp also confirmed that full-back Jose Bosingwa had been fined a fortnight's wages after refusing to sit on the bench for last weekend's 2-1 victory over Fulham.

He said: "He didn't want to be on the bench and didn't want to be a substitute, so he went home.

"He has been fined two weeks' wages, £130,000. Not too bad for two weeks, decent isn't it? Not too bad for playing on a Saturday, it's okay."

Asked how he might handle a player like that, Redknapp said: "We'll find out in January."

We've gone from 10th to 12th to 8th now? This season is crazy.

And only 5 points out of a UCL spot. As I said before, get a run going and we could virtually secure a Europe spot just like that. There's no great teams in the EPL this year.

You'd think Harvard business school would want Arsene. He actually operates the club like a business...a very successful business at that.

He has an MBA I believe - got it to help him speak with more power to the accountants etc.

Four teams at 30 points and another at 29 points. Chelsea is one, but has a game in hand tomorrow. Man Utd comfortably ahead of City ahead of their match tomorrow.

NOW we've got ourselves a season.

I think it's just an Econ Degree, but yeah, they trot that nugget out once or twice a season, usually right after a good player leaves and isn't really replaced.

Lately? Yes.

Yeah, but we said that last week and got stomped by Villa. Let's hold off until we see what we do in January before we go hopping on any bandwagons.

Well lets forget about that game. Jeez. Thank god I was playing soccer and not watching.

Have a good holiday everyone.

La Liga: So Real Madrid sits Casillas for the 1st time in forever... and lose at Malaga 3-2.

shiate, missed all but the last 3 games this session.

Going to fill out the predictions for the next couple of rounds tonight, and attempt to escape from the mid-table obscurity.

Those predictions I did make:

Liverpool 3 - 1 Fulham (Banker & Insurance)
Swansea 1 - 2 Man United
Chelsea 1 - 0 Aston Villa,

I'm an idiot. But the system did fill out my missed predictions, and I had +15 from those.

Morning. I have this one 1-3 in favor of United. Lets see if the Swans can be disciplined.

2012-12-23 08:45:40 AM
Have 3-1 United. Hopefully they can deliver!

EVRAAAAAAAAAAAA!

United looking very sharp today.

2012-12-23 08:59:30 AM
Swansea levels!

2012-12-23 09:00:29 AM
Vidic at fault for that goal, didn't follow his marker. Evans screwed up following Michu. Still on point for 3-1, but United need to score again this half.

2012-12-23 09:01:49 AM
Nice to Michu!

2012-12-23 09:02:27 AM

Cognitive Displaysia: Swansea levels!

Swansea does play very well, and Michu is one of the most dangerous poachers in the league

2012-12-23 09:05:00 AM
Swans really pressuring down their wings. Successfully, I might add

2012-12-23 09:40:58 AM
United looks especially sloppy today, especially Fatman and Robin

Van Persie lost his shiat

2012-12-23 10:05:13 AM
Not saying he didn't have a reason to be pissed, though.

Swansea playing tough.

2012-12-23 10:06:04 AM
How have United not scored a second? So many chances.

Also if someone slammed the ball into my head, I would have been just as pissed.

2012-12-23 10:09:55 AM
Giggs should have been carded for that challenge.

2012-12-23 10:19:20 AM
4 minutes eh? Well I guess there was the VP situation.

2012-12-23 10:21:46 AM
Swansea played well defensively, but United did jack diddly on offense and even though they came out strong in the second half, the last 10 minutes they looked really flat. Terrible match from Rooney and overall just a bad performance. -30 points on that match for me, bah.

2012-12-23 10:21:53 AM
And another -10.

2012-12-23 10:22:45 AM
I lost 10 points in the FFPL, but not too surprising. Swans are tough and keep their discipline the whole game.

2012-12-23 10:24:54 AM
Did you earn your money today Wayne?

2012-12-23 10:28:57 AM
I'll take that -10 as long as Chelsea can give me the points back.

ADubs86: I'll take that -10 as long as Chelsea can give me the points back.

ill happily take another -10 to see Villa pulling an upset. Rather unlikely, though.

Torres in less than 3....Sweat header from 15 yards out...

Rafa + Torres = Goals

2012-12-23 11:04:05 AM
He was trying to clear that.

2012-12-23 11:12:10 AM

ADubs86: Rafa + Torres = Goals

Could be but I don't know why. When Torres first joined Chelsea, the service he got was unbelievable. I could have scored so many that he missed. (To be fair, he was setting up others very nicely, but he was hired to score not assist.)
