Because apparently he was jumping up and down and screaming in order to share some overwhelming joy with the children.  It's their fault they got scared.

If the kids indeed really were scared, I cannot blame the staff for how they reacted.

I know it seem paranoid, but in the wake of CT, there will be some fear going on.

One day me and some buddies skipped out of high school. We got the bright idea to go to the elementary school during their recess with one of our buddy's gorilla suit. He put it on and interrupted their kickball game/joining in eventually. It was fun, we even video taped (yes, the big bulky video kind) the kids thought it was funny and even the few teachers out there watching the kids laughed. I don't even want to imagine what would happen if some high schoolers attempted this nowadays.

Oh boy...

a) He was charged with disorderly conduct. Not sent to freaking Gitmo.

b) He was screaming at children then rushed at them presumably with the intent to scare them, or "terrorize" them if you will.

c) He is obviously a mentally ill vagrant who should be getting psychiatric care. Not thrown in the pokey to get beaten and raped which could in turn make him an ACTUAL threat in the future.

d) Does this guy even have the wherewithal to have been doing it with the intent of causing extra fear over the the Sandy shooting? I doubt it.

So much fail to go around.

2012-12-21 04:15:42 PM
You know what it takes to terrorize 6 and 7 year olds? This guy was arrested for being a supreme prick.

Oh, homeless. Who cares then. Give him a cot and 3 hots.

If jumping up and down screaming near a school are going to be crimes, a lot of teachers are going to be so screwed...

2012-12-21 04:17:03 PM
And for those who are not aware axe handles are a pretty vicious weapon. A law based on it seems odd but I'm assuming someone or multiple people in the area must have taken some serious beatdowns with one to have it legislated.

you realize 80 % of vagrants dont even know about it right ? if i didnt fark this week I wouldnt know my self. but i had a slow week. some of us dont read / watch propaganda news so how would we know unless it was in our neighborhood.

The internet / tv news systems is actually farking us up here. yes it sucks these kids got shot. for their community. for us around the world it should have been one article in the paper the day after then back to regular life. we don't need nation wide debates and congressional action every time there is a local crime in some suburb.

In some states, batons are restricted along with double-bladed knives, cane-swords, nunchucks (I shiat you not - nunchucks). I've never been able to find a proper definition of baton in there either. Anyway, my guess is this is a homeless guy who kept it on himself for self-defense so, I guess they'd claim his intent was to treat it as a weapon, making it a weapon? Fark if I know.

We can trust them with guns, just not to actually teach our kids. Also, we can trust them with guns, but understand that these are the same teachers that want to molest little children all the time, too. Clearly they won't use the guns to rape the kids, and having guns won't affect their teaching ability or anything.

All the "ban guns" people should be ecstatic at this article! After all, it shows a knee-jerk reaction to a non-threat. Kneejerk, non-thinking non-tolerance rules in schools? No thought required so people should love this. Ban books? No thought required. Ban guns? No thought required.

BTW, I am forming a class-action lawsuit against the media for reporting on the Mayan calendar and perpetuating needless fear amongst news-watchers. It's the media who are the real terrorists.

So let's ban the guns. But then we need to ban all toy guns, any and all references to guns in any media type (including fictional TV and video games), and any other depiction of other weapons (e.g. military weaponry such as tanks and helicopters) which could, in turn, glorify gun use. We should ban and "burn" all books relating to guns, warfare, criminal enterprises, etc. We need to also ban all games (arcade, video, boardwalk, etc.) that use any gun-like apparatus. In fact, even the police should not be issued any type of gun, either pistol or shotgun or rifle of any type.

Does this sound wild and unrealistic? It's not...cigarettes have been banned pretty much from the media. Even movies require a certain rating if cigarettes are featured. Advertising for cigarettes is almost non-existent...you can't sell candy that looks like cigarettes...

Seriously, guns have to be removed from the CULTURE before any kind of "ban" is going to have any effect. Don't forget, also, about that pesky thing we call the Constitution. We'd have to rid ourselves of Amendment II. Hell, let's toss the 1st Amendment out, as well...after all, we see here that even waving about can be "domestic terrorism".

F*ck it...throw out the whole constitution and begin again, from scratch. After all, isn't this some antiquated document with no relevancy for our present day? Yeah, let's start this process - I'm sure everyone will be pleased at the outcome.

You know...for safety.

I missed an important inclusion to my list of ways to "rid our culture of guns".

Any person, of any age, can and will be prosecuted in the adult court system to the fullest extent of the law providing such person acts in any way that portrays a potentially real or pretend gun. Under this law, a kid who points a stick and says "Bang" can face jail or prison time (and/or the parents that raised such a savage). Using a hand to mimic a gun is also a jail-able offense. Let's just make any of these actions a felony.

Gotta get guns out of the culture at ANY expense, using a black-and-white system where no judgment is required as to the action or penalty. Let's let the gov't draft a no-tolerance law against pretend gun usage. I'm sure we'll all be safer.

After all, criminals and the mentally ill have historically shown 100% compliance with all laws pertaining to banning or restricting gun use.

I think a kid is already facing expulsion and a disorderly conduct charge for doing essentially this, but replace stick with his fingers.

Ok, you and subby are the reason Fark needs an asshat tag.
1. The kids in question were 7 and 8 year olds. Not teenagers, who would know if the guy was obviously faking.
2. Even 7 year olds know what happened in Newtown. And they're the right age to be scared that it could happen to them.
3. The guy was wearing camo - a deliberate attempt to look like a threatening nutjob. TFA also says that he made for the opening in the fence, as if he were going to come after them and enter the school.
