Give me ten reasons to buy a stock, I'll give you ten reasons to sell a stock.

I bought TSLA on the day it peaked in 2010 after waiting and waiting to buy it. I held on hoping to at least break even on it and ended up giving up and selling it for a $8/share loss late in 2011.
Now it's about where it was when I bought it, of course.
That'll try to teach me to offset my BP and Exxon stocks.

The way I see it, Tesla is a long-term investment. If you've read any interviews with Elon Musk, it's clear that he's thinking decades into the future, not just years into the future, or just to the next quarterly report. Of course, it might not work out, but if it does, it'll be extremely valuable, hence it's considered an "aggressive" stock.

/owner of Tesla stock since July 2011
//appreciated roughly 15% to date
///still can't afford a Model S

Its hard to contemplate owning a stock for decades of growth when they're basically bleeding out cash being completely unprofitable. Its just such a gamble for ultimately what wont be a lot of gains.

1. Short sellers are the smart money in the market.

2. Short interest in TSLA has been rising over the last 6 months is now almost 60% of the float.

3. ???

4. DO NOT PROFIT

Hey, I cant afford one of thier cars, but i can afford a few shares of the stock, which to me is just throwing away less money, getting a product I want, and aoiding the maintinence costs...
