Pocket Ninja: Cyberluddite: You mean "Marine Core Soldier," right?

The single most beautiful thing about that thread is that, years later, "marine core soldier" remains some of the lowest-hanging and yet most succulent fruit on Fark.

This.

GORDON: I wonder... would we like it if it were a TSA agent "guarding" the schools?

Calling it now.

It's been done many times here, already.

Phoenix19851: Oh my. I just got done reading that EPIC thread where Zap outs him. Both threads even that are linked in this thread. Kudos on Zap for outing that bastard. Even though I am 5 years late to that outing. I have lived here in the Hampton Roads area since 2005. First at Langley, then on NSA Hampton Roads (formerly NSA Norfolk) working with NATO.

I'm not too familiar with 46250. Never have heard of that AFSC before. I just looked it up on google, and well. All I can say is that your AFSC is no longer in existence, and from what I could find on it, it was around before I was even born. However, still thank you for the service that you have done. I do not know what rank you made it to. Possibly Buck Sergeant, but again thank you, from a current SSgt.

5 is the tech level. 462x0. I got to see one of the largest airlifts in history and ran into guys from Lackland on the other side of the planet, so that was cool.

Coco LaFemme: we'd get to make fun of the idiots who pretend to be in the military because they think chicks will fark a dude in camo.

Some of them do it for that, but the vast, vast majority of the Stolen Valor idiots do it for completely different reasons.

Cyberluddite: was Fark's most annoying douche of that era.

As a recent ten-year TFer, I am amused at the concept of "TF eras."

5 is the tech level. 462x0. I got to see one of the largest airlifts in history and ran into guys from Lackland on the other side of the planet, so that was cool.

lol I know what a 5-level is. I am currently working on getting my 7-level. Both of my parents were Air Force as well. My dad was a sheet metal person for B-52's and F-16's when he was in from 76 to 80, and my Mom was a Comm troop like I am, and her AFSC was 3C191 when she retired in 98. I was just saying that I did not recognize the 462x0 is all.

FarkinHostile: hovsm: FarkinHostile: So this Marine walks into a public restroom. There is a little boy at the sink, and he looks at the Marine and says "WOW! Are you a real Marine?!" The Marine says "Yes, I am, son. Would you like to wear my hat?" The little boy says "Yes!" The Marine puts his cover on the little boys head. All of a sudden this drunk Sailor walks in, his dixie cup all askew, dress blues a mess. The little boy says to him "WOW! Are you a real Sailor?!" The Sailor says in a smartass tone "Yeah, kid. Why, you wanna suck my dick?" The little boy says "Oh no, I'm not a real Marine, I'm just wearing his hat!"

That's funny! Far from the truth but funny. I heard it the other way around though. I like the reaction from people. "You were in the Service? What like the Army or Navy or something?", " No, I was in the Marines." "OHHH the Marines! , WOW!" Instant love. Don't have the heart to tell them that I was in the Core in the 90's. I swept and mopped a lot of floors. Oh and went to way too many CAX.

Eh, all of the military jokes are interchangeable depending on the branch you were/are in and whoever you are telling it to. Replace Marine with Sailor and viceaversa and have at it. Here is another one for ya:

What is the difference between a straight Marine and a gay Marine?

3 beers.

My favorite post-DADT joke (heard from the son of a career Navy officer):

What does "Marine" stand for?
My
Ass
Really
IS
Navy
Equipment

Always cracks up all my Marine friends.
