True of most sex columnists - especially ones in school newspapers.

2012-12-20 05:10:22 PM
Really? They are making a big deal about sex in the library?

She's not a journalist

Did she act like she thought she was a journalist? I figured she knew she was basically blogger / columnist / attention whore.

2012-12-20 05:11:49 PM
I'd scour her card catalog any day of the week.

2012-12-20 05:12:22 PM
Is it wrong to think about dipping your quill in the ole ink jar ?

2012-12-20 05:13:08 PM
shiat, i never got to have sex in the stacks when i was at Cal in the 70s, what's wrong with me?

2012-12-20 05:14:09 PM
"A exhibitionist?" Really? I guess subby is not an journalist.

2012-12-20 05:14:35 PM
An exhibitionist.

2012-12-20 05:14:44 PM
Hmm...in the stacks is pretty bold, I generally stuck to the study rooms and supply closets. Day before Thanksgiving however I can confirm would be a perfect time to go for it in the stacks a large academic library (honestly you'd probably get a golf clap from the staff when you finished if you were caught...ok, I would have golf clapped, I worked in academic libraries for a number of years).

/yes, I would hit that
//actually, she reminds me of a gal I had a few trysts with...but not in the library, well once ok?

2012-12-20 05:15:18 PM
...vapid, sure.

2012-12-20 05:15:22 PM
I'd flip through her dewey decimal system.

2012-12-20 05:20:32 PM
they're not mutually exclusive...

2012-12-20 05:22:11 PM
I would dangle my participle that she could conjugate my prefixes, or perhaps just suckle my man-root.

2012-12-20 05:22:14 PM
There seems to be a period of 5 years or so where everyone thinks they are the edgiest people in history.

2012-12-20 05:22:59 PM
I would so disappoint her.

2012-12-20 05:23:37 PM
A) I miss the Daily CAl
B) She's hot... she makes me think dirty thoughts.

2012-12-20 05:24:44 PM
I'll give her this, She's definitely easier on the eyes than these 'sexperts'

Nadia's had a major makeover since her first 5 minutes of fame. Her file photos were serious double bagger material.

2012-12-20 05:28:44 PM
TFA: "it isn't actually a column about sex; it's a column about Nadia Cho." ... "She is not a journalist, she's an exhibitionist." ... "Getting to work and thinking, 'There won't be people f- in the library today.' Now that is liberating."

So what you're telling me is the DailyCal has an audience of AARP members?

Because no-one under 60 is thinking these things. shiat, no-one under 60 can likely *remember* journalism before it embraced the self-aggrandizing subjective viewpoint. From which Cho's exhibitionism is all but expected. And that last complaint is just some crusty old fuddy-duddy who'd rather pretend no-one has any genitals and they certainly don't go about madly mashing them together everywhere and all the goddamned time.

2012-12-20 05:30:11 PM
I got a great idea for a new version of Clue! "Nadia was bonked in the library with the vibrator by Col. Mustard".

2012-12-20 05:31:01 PM
She can exhibit herself anytime with me.

Maybe the people just don't want to watch ugly people fark.

ArtosRC: I would so disappoint her.

It's not whether or not you were her rock star, it's the fact that you even got to perform in the concert that is most important.

2012-12-20 05:34:14 PM
She's good looking so she isn't a sex offender for doing this, right?

THIS!

FTFA: She sought to have loud sex in a variety of haunts, from the library's European Union section to the classrooms of Moffitt and Wurster - which "gives you an idea of how fantastic it would be if your hot (graduate student instructor) pounded you on the front desk every time you forgot to turn in a homework assignment."

How many weeks does she have for this project? I'm old, so sex once a week or so does me just fine.

I would organize her microfiche.

2012-12-20 05:41:00 PM
I would request her journal from another library in the UC system and patiently wait 10-14 days for it to be delivered.

I applaud the sexually adventurous. I loathe attention whores.

And call me crazy, but a sex columnist should probably educate about sex rather than just putting her sexual history on display. There is plenty of time to do that at the bar.

I blame Sex & the City. It clearly gave rise to feminine, soft-core, literary porn ideals for sex column journalism. So long as the columnists look better than Sarah Jessica Parker, I also applaud Sex & the City for soft-core literary porn in general syndication. My, how times have changed.

In other news she is not returning any of your emails containing (what else) pictures of your genitals.

2012-12-20 05:47:28 PM
I'd hit that like there's no tomorrow.

Wait. Tomorrow.12/21/2012....?

oh noes.

At my campus we had the worst sex advice columnist ever. I am not sure what I was thinking when I took that job

I keed, I keed

I suggest UC remedy this by filling the library with cameras and livestreaming them to the web.

Ah, Cho.

Now I can't stop picturing the "stereotypical" Farker being a sex columnist:

12/14/12 - I fapped today. I had to put it on mute because mom was having a party upstairs. Bannedontherun is favorited.

Asian psychology major?

That is going to be some serious disconnect with sexual norms.

F*ck the sh*t out of her but do NOT expect that vajoo to stay on a leash.

Seriously I've dated both subsets (but not the two wrapped up in one) and they just don't care about sh*t like that.

/mmm... sweet, anecdotal generalizations

2012-12-20 05:57:09 PM
I think she's a one-trick pony.

2012-12-20 05:57:19 PM
Not to be all studman69 or anything, but I talk to her on a kind of frequent basis and she is most definitely not hot. Not bad looking, but not hot. She is just a normal hipster chick who happens to be open about her sexuality and is open to trying new things. I'm pretty sure she is not the only person that has done naughty things on the stacks, yet she is the one that talks about it and gets all the shiat. Breaking news: girls like sex too.

Also, it's pretty sad to see that 99% of the backlash from her column (which has been surprisingly overwhelming) has been from girls/women labeling her with the usual bs names. It's sad to see how women themselves are the ones enforcing certain social norms that they complain about all the time. Guys obviously wouldn't complain but they could respond negatively by harassing her or shiat like that, which luckily hasn't really happened.

/pardon the generalization with the use of term "women", it's just for the sake of argument.

How did she keep from getting caught when she was making that rape noise all Asians make when they have sex?

okay... that was inappropriate.

I'm sorry.

Seriously, its Berkeley. I thought library sex was a graduation requirement.

Does she make that Asian squeaky copulatory noise? I can't work with that.
