Just skip all the formalities and put this up next time.

I love a good lights display, even when it is completely gaudy. I hate traffic, especially at night. I'm so conflicted!

What if you're spelling out TRUMP?

Would the neighbor be named "Mr. Grinch" by any chance?

2012-12-20 01:38:15 PM
Did anyone else read that as "20-Foot vibrator and giant jar of raspberry marmalade"?

It's Xmas, dammitt neighbors, we're celebrating the alleged birth of the hippy in the manger.

Get in the spirit.

/That is all.

play dirty, put up a couple of poles and cages and hire some strippers to be Go-Go dancers.  Obviously no nekkidness, but blare some Beiber, Gaga, and Minaj and people would stop coming around.

Then on the other neighbors house, ask the Westboro freaks to come protest.

Add some chaos into this world

The city cannot do anything about the traffic? That seems like a crock of crap.

In the mean time, put up something offensive. Or, nails in the street.

Ahhh, the True Meaning of Christmas: attention-whoring.

FloydA: Ahhh, the True Meaning of Christmas: attention-whoring.

This is endemic in Florida.  The local paper prints the addresses of those with the most gaudy displays, and everyone drives by to look at it.  I'd hate to see their electric bill in January, though.

2012-12-20 01:57:54 PM
If I were these people's neighbor, there might have to be an "electrical fire" around 3am one morning.

/bah humbug

The display with a ferris wheel must be $10,000 alone and the electricty bill probably runs a hundred a day at least. Bleed money much?

As much as people have a right to "enjoy the holiday on their own terms", I'd say their neighbors have a right to peace and quiet, which I doubt they're getting with all the increased traffic this display is causing to be pumped through the area.

FTFA "I'm doing everything I can to keep everyone as calm as I can but I won't stop but because the people every single night tell me not to; there is so much joy,"

He has a pretty fark'd up opinion on what "joy" is.

FTFA website included a link to Kathy Hyatt's real estate company

A real estate developer.  Color me surprised.  So clearly this whole display is an advertisement for her services.  Does she a permit to operate a business out of her home?

I went to see this last year. It is a truly amazing display. I will definitely take my daughter there when she is old enough to appreciate it.

That being said, I'm thankful that these people are not my neighbors.

Remember, as Jesus said, "Give all your money to the local power company, because if you give it to poor people, they'll just spend it on something stupid like food and shelter."
