Hard to call the Pitbull/Walmart thing a fail.  It was cleverly hijacked, resulting in amusement for a lot of people and a lot more attention to the campaign than it would have otherwise received.

/didn't even know who Pitbull was before
//sadly, did know who Walmart was

So a naked guy on what is most likely a nude beach is "creepy" because some photographer didn't shoot on a closed set. If it was a chick that accidentally wound up in the picture would it still be labeled as creepy?

How is the Pitbull thing a marketing failure? I couldn't give two shiats about either Wal Mart or Pitbull but was still subjected to a week's worth of "OMG look at this LOL!" followed by the thing the campaign promised actually happening with further coverage.

Sure, Pitbull rocking a Wallmart in Miami would be fun for a few people, but I wouldn't have heard about it.

If I were Pitbull (still haven't heard his music, that I know of) I would have sincerely thanked everyone for sending me somewhere that I hear is beautiful, instead of letting people force me to go to a New Jersey suburb. Everybody wins that one. Walmart and Pitbull get huge amounts of publicity, along with the hijacking site, and the Alaskan town gets a little bit of excitement, and possibly some revenue from the concert (venue rental, local vendors maybe?).

And the stubhub one was priceless. If I had less sense that could be me. I never post anything about work, much less from a work computer, but I could see myself having that thought.

ReapTheChaos: Uzzah: Fail #21: not posting a deslideified link.

/seriously, admins, can't we put this in the FArQ?

Yes, because people to lazy to click their mouse button should clearly be more coddled to.

Slideshows suck--pretty much everyone agrees on that. Deslide's awesome. It's not coddling any more than aggregating news stories is coddling to people too lazy to search for their own interesting internet content.

The brand apologized, telling AdFreak that the "tasteless joke in no way represents our values at KitchenAid. This person will no longer be tweeting for us and appropriate actions are being taken."

You can do that and keep your job? And who gives these moronic rednecks the ability to tweet with the company account anyway?

Their growth strategy calls for some incremental growth in Czech and Slovakia, then a major thrust East into Poland and also Western Europe as they take out the competition in Denmark, Holland, Belgium, and France. They also plan a joint venture with an Italian group and one group from the Far East. Possibly some cross channel efforts though there is opposition to the brand in the UK. Also they have several major thrusts into the emerging markets of the former Soviet Union
