Call me crazy, but David Spade is one of those people I just can't stand.  I'm not sure if it's him personally or the characters he plays, but I am instantly annoyed at anything he's ever been in.

A show I've never heard of is moving from one network I don't watch to another network I don't watch? Stop the presses!

David Spade is acceptable as a supporting actor, but he just can't hack it as the center of attention.

The move comes on the heels of Rules recently shooting its 100th episode

Had no idea this show was still on. I remember reading an article about it years ago, and I was briefly interested when I saw two actors I like, Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price, were starring in it. I couldn't make it through one episode. It embodied pretty much everything I hate about dumbed down, overly laugh tracked sitcoms. Imagine How I Met Your Mother written for people with IQs somewhere south of room temperature.

So, like How I Met Your Mother

Why couldn't it have been Megyn Price's other show Grounded for Life? That is better, funnier, and has Donal Logue.

This is the show in which David Spade plays Neil Patrick Harris playing Barney on HIMYM, right?

You will not only watch it; you will like it.

Why?

Because there is nothing else on you haven't already watched several times.

So much this. His career ended when Chris Farley died. Those two were always funny as a duo, and neither was as good without the other (although I think that is more true of Spade).

He's not the major character in this show. And it's already on the CW (which I get on antenna TV for some reason).

I like the Indian guy in it. That's about it. Oh, and the hot young guy? He's funny. Has the clueless idiot timing down perfectly

I love Rules of Engagement!!

David Spade's character, Russell, might be my least favorite on the show, but everyone on there makes me laugh.

I enjoy the show, but due to the fact that I can never seem to find it on first run, only on repeats, I thought it was cancelled.

Years after Grounded for Life, I'm still finding Megyn Price to be a MILFy. Favorite episode is still the one where her dress was caught in the elevator doors causing her to flash the coworker accusing her of sexual harassment.

I think Tommy Boy and PCU were the only ones where his character type worked. If you really wanna see a load of crap from him, watch Dickie Roberts. So very awful.

Chris Farley made him funny.

For about a month, every time I turned on the tv this was on. It's the most generic sitcom of all time.

David Spade is always good as the short annoying guy in whatever show/movie he is in. He was wonderful as Matthew on News Radio.

The Indian guy saved this show. It really should have been cancelled 4 years ago, but he brought new life to it.

But damn, how long have these 2 been engaged?

Joe Dirt Rules! Hey, is that the new Auto Trader?

Spade is not the main character on that show. I'd argue that Warburton and Pryce share that.

The main problem with the show is that they took the other male character and turned him from a fairly clueless but well-meaning guy to a borderline retarded and completely vapid waste of space. Kind of the before and after cancellation version of Peter from Family Guy. At least Peter is supposed to be cartoon-y though.

2012-12-20 03:36:30 PM
The show is just CBS's version of 'According to Jim.' The network usually has about half-a-dozen episodes in the can so they can fill a timeslot at the last minute when another show crashes and burns. This type of show is never scheduled, it's just the TV equivalent of Bondo - filler. I give props to the producers and actors for being professional about what they do, but the network would plug in thirty minutes of chimps masturbating if they had to.

Grounded for Life was a much better show. Price has some nice boobage.

the show isn't moving, it just got syndicated to another network, ie repeats will now air on TBS. So now you will get seinfeld, family guy, and this show at all hours.

I agree completely. On this show she is your typical stereotypical annoying nagging wife. I just want to bunch the screen because of how much she fills this perfect stereotype of what a "wife" should be and continues to be like it episode after episode.

/is married
//wife hates her to

that women is beyond gorgeous and the only reason I watch the show if I come across it. Her body is amazing and her face/eyes are very beautiful. She does take her shirt off and play the part of a stripper in some crappy 2nd rate movie that came out a few years ago.

I know it's a dumb, cookie cutter show, but Puddy is always funny, and Megyn Price and Bianca Kajlich are really fun to look at. I don't seek it out, but I enjoy it if I catch it.

Yeah, those were very nice. Had no idea it was her at first. She's actually hotter in that movie.
