I was surprised at this. Howard probably took $80 million out. Even the $43 million probbably wouldn't have been a big deal to him. This was a big score.

Cybernetic: Poker goes in the Sports tab?

If it's good enough for ESPN, it's good enough for FARK.

So... when does that car hit the government auction block?

He got off cheap. He should be paying off a LOT more than $2.5M.

He should have.....(takes off sunglasses).....worn sunglasses.

2012-12-20 11:09:40 AM
He would have laid a lot of that off...

He's been spotted recently at the Big Game at the Bellagio. Must be nice to have friends.

Yea, this makes me want to set up a giant ponzi scheme and then just pay a 10% penalty on my millions of dollars of profit.

Yeah, and she's also been quoted by another well known poker player has saying cancer was good because it prevented overpopulation. She's even dumber than Howard.

/I'll pull up the citation for that when I'm not at work later tonight
//I want to say that a Brunson quoted her, but not Doyle

Full Tilt is now operated by PokerStars, correct?

I don't know how I feel about that.

Todd, Doyle's son, HATES her, so it wouldn't surprise me if his distorted it or made it up completely

A lot of pros HATE her. If enough people HATE someone, there's usually a good reason for that: that someone is a major league asshole.

Perhaps, but seeing her play mind games with Helmouth a few years back and watching him melt down makes up for just about anything. She can club baby seals with late-term-aborted-pandas for all I care. I still like her for crushing that d-bag.

I just stay at the WSOP site. What sites there are for poker are just...meh to me.

When the cameras are off, Phil is a very cool.
Annie...not so much.

This. I haven't seen Phil away from the table myself, but people I know and trust have and they said he was very approachable and kind of likable away from the table. It's just that Phil at the table is the type of guy who everyone wants to punch in the face.

Wow, I can't believe he got off with that unless they are leaving him to go into the wild of Nevada for some old fashion Vegas justice.

Well, Phil is also unlike most poker players in that he is actively playing to the TV camera most of the time you see him. The other folks in the room are focused on their cards, but Phil knows he can make a ton of money just playing up his "poker brat" personality, regardless of what happens at the table. So he does stuff that may not make sense for the game, but makes for good TV.

He'll lose more than $2.5M there. He's barely competent in tournaments. He's flat out terrible in cash games.

THIS! Lederer and Ferguson were such nits in the Poker After Dark cash games. Ferguson being infamous for refusing to play a $500 7/2 prop on a $100/200 NL table.
