This sounds like the kinda thing that would happen in sf. Tho, running away might be harder cause it's so hilly.

On an unrelated note, one of the few things I liked about germany was their acceptance, nay, encouragement of drinking in public, especially on the train.

KidneyStone: Wow, someone who defines "having all their shiat in one sock"

/Southern expression for someone who has things all together and right.

I've been a Southerner all of my adult life, and until now have never heard that. So I looked it up. Jesus, you're right.

Is this where we tell our twisted stories of life on public transportation?

I saw a guy whip out his wiener on the bus once. I didn't stick around to see what happened next.

And one time this old man shoved his way to the back of the packed bus and sat near me and cried while staring at my legs. Awkward. I was wearing my catholic school girl uniform skirt.

It wasn't uncommon to get sketchy men in dirty trucks trying to pick me up like I was a crack ho. Dude, I have enough money to go to private school, why would I jump in your van for 20 bucks and the chance to be murdered?

Never saw any poo flinging. Too bad.

Yep! You Brown Liners would know that if you were willing to come visit me once in a while instead of always making me come up north. :P

Can't drink on MUNI
Can't drink on the bus.

You can legally drink until you pass out on CalTrain and nobody will care.

Ah, a fellow Caltrain drinker.

Caltrain is a great way to start the holiday parties but the little shop that sells booze is closed on Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, etc

Closest liquor is at the Safeway across the street.

Okay I've got to ask. Teared, wept, or sobbed? And how old were you?

Wept, I guess? Mostly quiet but kinda shaking his shoulders. And shaking his head, like he regretted something.

16.

He'd tried to talk to me at the bus stop but was kinda creepy. The bus was packed, I went to the back to avoid him. Then I looked up n saw him shoving his way past the standing passengers to find the very last sitting spot about 12 inches from me. He cried the whole time but didn't talk to me.

16. And this was at night.

Well wtf. I am so glad I'm a guy, our odds of having that kind of shiat happen to us is so much lower.

I have a car now. Life is much more boring.

With any luck the old guy is a farker and will post and explain what was going on in his head to do that. What was he trying to talk to you about at the stop? Did he think you were his long lost daughter or girlfriend or lost youth? Any other old farkers on who could explain this?

He was taking the bus, I doubt he has internet access. Plus that was 15 years ago.

I think he just asked my name or something. He did say "you are beautiful". Which I probably wasn't. I was wearing ripped tights with safety pins in them. And wrinkly clothes.

Much much weirder stuff happens on public transport.

Gyrfalcon: relcec: Debeo Summa Credo: Gyrfalcon: "It was like the biggest degradation I've ever [experienced]. I wish he had just hit me," she said, because she thinks that would have been less traumatic.

OK, honey, stop whining. It was gross and disgusting, but I can pretty much guarantee that getting hit with a fist would have been way more traumatic.

I dunno man. This seems pretty traumatic and degrading. I agree with her.

I've been hit with a lot.
steel toes, 4 D cell mag lights, really sweet right crosses.
I'd take the punch and the kick over the poop sock, but not the mag light.

You need to stop fighting with the cops so much.

cops love me.
the d cell was from a bouncer in a literal bar room brawl on sixth street back in the day.

I know plenty of Orange Line riders, but Yellow Line riders? They're like unicorns.
