I live one county North of Fulton County and this article doesn't surprise me one bit

I don't mean that Fulton is some backward ass county like Banks County or Franklin County (they are). Fulton is where Atlanta and the corresponding urban sprawl is.

I second that. I'm (almost) as lib'rul as they come, but if I were the fearful sort and lived near this defective prison, I'd want to have a handy little handgun lying safely around. NOT a rifle that can pierce tank armor, mind you, just something to pierce human muscle.

/lived/worked in Fulton or Dekalb counties all my life...

It is a little obnoxious that they drug their feet on this even though they basically were ordered by the court to do it.

If they can't name something after a commissioner, they aren't very interested in it.

You don't have to worry. It is in the middle of an abandoned rock quarry surrounded by some of the worst neighborhoods Atlanta has to offer.

Oh, and that mother does have to worry. Guns do get smuggled in every now and then.

If this was the case Alpharetta your child would have grown up and been some body other than a want a be armed robber.

I'd like to be able to pierce tank armor myself, just in case. You never know when we're going to be invaded by North Korea.

As for piercing human muscle, it's a good idea to be able to do that repeatedly. People don't just fall over dead like on TV: you can shoot somebody right in the heart once and he can still stab you or shoot you back. Your best bet is two or three head shots if you can do it. Old people or those with small hands might not be able to handle a bathsalts-stopper like a .45 or .44 mag, we'll have to make do with something like a .380 ACP. I'd agree with James Bond on a Walther PPK, for which I might start saving up; just think, by going on the wagon and saving instead I could buy one in 6 months!

The Fulton County jail is so bad they have been placed under a Federal Court order to improve conditions.

I assume you're talking about that tiny little backwards scratch of land that is still unincorporated south of the city or that godless strip of land in the actual COA, because none of us in the New-Balkan State of North Fulton have anything to do with this mess.
