Actually, subby, "Dikshiat" is in fact a typo, and you should probably have realized that before you submitted the headline.

I had a student named Dixit, pronounced "dickshiat" and my coworkers talked him into a nickname. His last name started with a P, so he went by DP. I guess that's a little better. The US undergrads snickered a lot at DP. My coworkers were confused about the snickering, but I wasn't about to try to explain.

No, you goofed up the joke, didn't you. You confused it with the 9 out of 10 enjoy gang rape joke, and you got the numbers wrong. It should be 2 out of 3 enjoy DP. Which is arguable. Mostly you missed the chance to say "That's what she said!"

Biggus Dickus?

Actually worked with a programmer in the late 80's or early 90's whose name was Dibjit Shakarbouti.

Yep, us good ol' boys had no problem renaming him "Dipshiat Shakeyerbooty".

There was an officer on a ship I served on named, "Beaverdick". We noticed that he seemed to get lost a lot because people used to get on the ship's loudspeaker and call for him, much more loudly and often than other officers.

"Lieutenant commander Beaverdick!"

If it were me, I'd have changed my name.

Sheila Dikshiat sounds like a particularly nasty Australian transsexual accustomed to entertaining the troops. Any troops, really, any place.

(October 18, 2010) Television New Zealand received 1,500 complaints after a show host made an on-air racist comment on Indian-origin Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand and mocked the name of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshiat. TVNZ said that it has upheld 1,500 complaints against its former Breakfast host Paul Henry...
