Poor dog. He didn't look like a happy pup to me.

He will now be wrapped in dough and served as cocktail wieners.

Ok, the diving suit for the dog is hysterical. It looks like they used a pasta container for the helmet. And it was so bulky I am unsure how the stubby little legs could swim.

Sad, though. I love hounds. And I miss my long-haired dachshund. Still have my basset tho :)

Belle loves going out on the boat. Notsomuch the swimming part though. Can't ever imagine her diving. (on purpose)

Me either. The only interesting dachshund story I have is that last night when I was walking home late I got my mace out cause I heard a dog barking,it sounded like a big dog and well I'm scared of them, then when I could see it in the light it was a long haired weenie dog. I've never been so ashamed of myself.
/Dumb story sis.

Norma has a lifejacket, also. Bassets have such dense bones that they will sink before they can swim. I remember when I got it that my ex thought that I was being stupid. At the time we used to take walks along Lake Erie, and I had no desire for any accident. Now I live near the Missouri River and I would hate to see her blindly stumble into it (she lost both eyes). Your Belle is adorable :)

Chloe, the black and tan, swims for a moment and then cuts power to the rear.  She sinks quickly stern first.  William, aka Bubba Dog, tries to run across the surface of the water.

Brando had never been near open water when I rescued him at the age of 5. I remember carrying him out into a small lake and gently sat in the water holding him, then slowly lowered him into the water. To my absolute amazement, he started dog paddling around in circles!! He absolutely loved it!
Great 10 years. Thanks Bran. RIP
