For all his castigating the wealthy for not doing more, it amazes me that Bono gets a pass for operating out of Cypus for tax perposes.

U.S. for lower taxes. Yes, you read that correctly: the U.S. 
 
Why would anyone think they didn't read that correctly?  Belgium has a 50% top marginal rate.  It's 36% in the US.
 
The only reason he moved to Belgium instead of the US is because they speak French there and it's close to France.
