sadbad: I don't really see the need for windows 8. Windows 7 is an excellent reason to invoke "if it ain't broke..."

THIS. A thousand times. 7 works just fine, thank you.

wingnut396: i installed and have been using Windows 8 for nearly 2 weeks now. The funky start menu/screen take a bit to get used to, but what am I supposed to hate about it?

No hate here. I just refuse to pay for, and spend time installing a new OS whose only difference from my current one is a useless touchscreen interface.

NFA: I came here to witness the ever present Windows apologists in action.

BarkingUnicorn: Why the fark bother with a language spoken by only 20,000 people?

Because Windows is used by upwards of 90% of personal computers and it behooves Microsoft to be inclusive.

It's one of the few written Native languages, so I'm not surprised it got integrated.

It's a rule that you're supposed to absolutely hate a Windows product until the cool kids tell you that it's OK to start liking it. Then you'll be expected to say that it's the greatest thing ever, and the cool kids were all using it before it even existed, and their advice is why you started using it, but since you're not a cool kid, you were late to the party.

At least that's how I understand it.
