It had to happen in politics eventually. This year's NFL Draft order was actually determined by two separate coin-toss tiebreakers.

Two guys rolled a d6. Rose rolled a 4, DiConza a 1.

Rose's troop killed DiConza's, and took the territory. Now Rose gets the continent's income on his next turn, if he still controls every territory in the continent. Or be on the school board.

Where's the Mountain Dew?

This would also be the perfect time for a random encounter.

Actually all kinds of various contest are decided with a dice roll, some with a coin flip.
So, this is sorta news, but not really.

Rolling ANYTHING Rifts. I've played RPGs for a while, but when we wanted to try out Rifts, we looked at the first rules of the description of character and we all did a "nope" look and put the book back in the shelf.

That being said, Deadlands (Hell on Earth) is prety cool.

*pushes glasses up on nose*

That's a DIE roll, not a DICE roll.

I hope they used a dice tower or cup. Dice rolled by hand can be manipulated.

I donated some dice games (farkle) to a homeless shelter and wondered if that was a problem.

School board? How about local councils  ... They should do it every time, it wouldn't make a difference.
