Anyway, I think the more important detail in the story is "stabbed a man in the back"

But i see you jumped right to racism.. interesting...

I guess it's just the glee in your hearts from reading a story about a man getting stabbed, and another man beaten to a pulp. If you were human (i.e. not American), you'd read that story and think "that's just sad all around." Not, "violence, fark yeah!!"

Violent reprisal...FARK YEAH!
Sad is smoldering puppies or the EU. Action / reaction based on a choice is payback. Not sad at all.

Yeah, you're tough. You were a Marine computer nerd, which is great because most people would think you are tough rather than just a computer nerd.

Except for real tough people. Naturally, you stay away from them.

You like reading about a group of marines beating a black man to within an inch of his life.

No no, it's OK that you like reading things like that! Just consider it... ...noted.

Interesting that you assume that the thief was black. It doesn't make any mention of his race in the article. Are you also laboring under the assumption that all the Marines involved were white?

If you go looking for racism, you will find it everywhere.

Ummmm, I did, but whiskey dick was refering to the newspaper clipping linked in the comments section from ebaums world by jmadisonbiii [TotalFark] at 2012-12-18 02:15:36 PM. In that article there is no mention of either the perpetrator or marines race.

So, perhaps you should check what is being referenced before you spout off that someone else needs to RTFA? Eh?

Q- Is it normal for ex Marines to just insult based on someones mother, or a sandy vagina?

A- Yes it is. The reason for this is they are generally less capable than others, and in order to compensate for their lack of intestinal fortitude and mental agility, they will often resort to senseless and ineffective name calling. They have purposefully created a culture that they think portrays them as hardened killers. In reality, they are at best ineffective, and at worst just cannon fodder.

/in my experience, the more capable the individual, the less they need to pose. You have my pity.

I wrote this while annoyed, so I should temper what I said with some reason.

There are a lot of great Marines. There are some really poor ones. Anyone who has seen real violence (I'm thinking war, as it is the extreme end of the spectrum) would not be quick to glorify violence. For me, it's a sign that someone has done some training (like in this case) but never had to pay the piper with tears and blood. For the ones that have gone through that, only the psychotic would still cheer for violence.

/inhuman American
//Everybody hates us until they need us....amirite?

Yeah, you're tough. You were a Marine computer nerd, which is great because most people would think you are tough rather than just a computer nerd.

Except for real tough people. Naturally, you stay away from them.

You mom loves the 1st and 15th of each month, huh?
Sweatin' like a TJ whore!

For me, it's a sign that someone has done some training (like in this case) but never had to pay the piper with tears and blood ...

I have.

Good point. I'm slagging a guy for ignorance while generalizing about his nationality. I shouldn't have done that.

Rather than name a Unit- as I enjoy the anonymity of the interwebs- you'll have to take my word for it. Or, I can talk to you about rural Afghanistan ad nauseam; of which, over the last few years I have become quite familiar with.

Assuming you are a combat vet, and I respect the anonymity, then I agree that no one who is getting shot at wants to go to war. It's always the pogues. If you are trying to equate the ravages of war to a fake beat down of a douchebag, I'm not buying.
If you are not a combat vet and you are slyly side stepping to avoid the claim but still implying that you are, I hope you get raped by mountain gorillas. I'm assuming that's not the case.

myne: Skirl Hutsenreiter: HotWingConspiracy: I'm just thrilled there are criminals that still employ disguises. Everyone just waves a gun around now and wears a bandana.

Back in my day, stealing from children took planning.

We had a bank robber in Boulder last year who wrapped his face in bandages like a mummy. First bank robbery where I thought, you know, that's kinda cool.

Did they catch him?

Not that I know of.

There was another guy who went around robbing banks in hat-wigs around the same time that they got.

Be a shame if he were to suffer this fate.

Except in reality, the only one to go to the hospital in that case was the Marine, but that fact didn't play well, so they had to tweak the story to make it sound like the marines kicked the robbers ass.

Anyway, I think the more important detail in the story is "stabbed a man in the back"

But i see you jumped right to racism.. interesting...

You're wrong. We're thinking, "Justice, fark yeah!!"

No farking kidding!

Buddy's a dick an deserves to DIAF, but someone has an overblown opinion of Marines.

Contrary to popular myth, Marines are not super-human, or even any tougher on average than any other serviceperson.

Shhhhh! Don't say that too loud. They can hear you!

So glad you found this. This is exactly what I was thinking would happen if the Marines catch him.

No, these guys got off easy compared to what would happen if the Marines caught him.
If the Marines catch him and give him an ass beating to end all ass beatings. . .I am okay with this. Very, very okay with this.

My father was a Marine Corps recruiter in Aurora, from 1967 to 1970. They set national records with their Toys For Tots drive. I still have the newspaper clippings, and a trophy that the Chamber of Commerce awarded him.
