thecpt: sephjnr: thecpt: btw, the rams didn't play according to the rankings.

/their fans already knew this.

But we're almost halfway up the chart. Still lofty territory for a team that's only had three seasons at .500 or more in the last decade. Let's just get past Tampa and hope we don't look too horrible in Seattle the following week.

It was more for giving ESPN guff for not getting your record right in your losing effort.

/I don't understand how you're the kryptonite for the 9ers and the Cards, but I respect you for it.

FTFM ;). Their wheels fell off the night I got home from the US.

I say...

8. Indianapolis
9. Washington
10. Dallas
11. NY Giants
12. Baltimore
13. Chicago

Cool with the rest of it. But seeing as the Bears are in their typical self-imposed funkery, and Washington has recently beaten Dallas/NYG/Baltimore, and Indy looking solid...

Funny stat I heard prior to last week's Packers game: The Packers had the same percentage of QB "pressures" (hurries, knockdowns, and sacks) with Clay Matthews as without, around 29%, but the QB got hit less than half as many times during the games Matthews missed. Just one more thing that makes me glad he is back in the lineup.

Bad weather benefits rushing teams. Which of the two is a rushing team? Which of the two is a physical team? How did playing in Green Bay work out for the Packers last year?

Hey, the Packers have rushed for like yards, actual real football yards at points this season. I think Mike McCarthy forgot to take his meds and called like 6 rushes in a row last game. I still do not want to see Seattle in the playoffs.

skrame: VvonderJesus: ***snip***

Hopefully, we will go full bore against the Vikings for at least the first half (assuming the #2 is out of reach). I think resting Rodgers is what screwed us last week.

If all the higher-ranked teams win, the playoffs will look like this:

[i35.photobucket.com image 850x244]

No changes on the AFC side. Bears replace Vikings at #6.

If all the higher-ranked teams lose, the playoffs will look like this:

[i35.photobucket.com image 850x245]

Again, no AFC changes. Dallas takes NFC East from Washington, and Vikings are back at #6.

I like how that looks for my Seahawks, they'd beat either Dallas or Washington on the road. It would get really complicated in the next round though since they'd have to play in Atlanta or Green Bay. I like their chances in Atlanta much better than if they were at Lambeau against the Packers who are likely still very butthurt about week 3 and would be out for blood.

-[Weekly sad Chiefs post]-

Apparently Bill Polian and his son might be taking over for Pioli at the end of the season. I'm split- The guy identified and grabbed the best QB in the draft twice (Kerry Collins and Peyton Manning, respectively), but his last five or so years in Indy did not look good. If it happens, I'll choose to believe that a year away from the game helped him.

In the spirit of bowl season, it's the Seventh Weekennial Official Unofficial NFL Colley Rankings and Tier List, Presented by Colonial Penn!

Sorry for the delay. I was a bit under the weather today -- and no, not because the Jets game made me physically ill. Everyone else has turned in their homework already, and you all did a fine job by the way. So let's just skip the commentary and go straight to the numbers. So I read an interesting article about if the Top team was determined like a Belt system in Boxing, meaning you have it until you lose it. So I wondered what that would like like. Also the Failbelt I thought would be amusing, you would get it by losing to the team that currently had it.

In any Case Last Seasons Champs the NY Giants start with the Winners Belt lets see where it goes along with the Failbelt belonging to the Colts

Week 1 : Cowboys Beat the Giants -> Cowboys Take the Lombardi Belt
Bears beat the Colts -> Colts Keep the Failbelt

Week 2: Seahawks Beat the Cowboys -> Seahawks take the Lombardi Belt
Colts Beat the Vikings -> Vikings take the failbelt

Week 3 Seahawks beat the Packers -> Seahawks Keep the Lombardi Belt
Vikings beat the 49ers -> 49ers take the failbelt

Week 4 Rams beat the Seahawks -> Rams take the Lombardi Belt
49ers beat the Jets -> Jets take the failbelt

Week 5 Rams beat the Cardinals -> Rams Keep the Lombardi Belt
Texas beat the Jets -> Jets Keep the failbelt

Week 6 Dolphins Beat the Rams -> Rams take the Lombardi Belt
Jets beat the colts -> Colts take the failbelt

Week 7 Dolphins on a Bye week
Colts beat the Browns -> Browns take the failbelt

Week 8 Dolphins beat the Jets -> Dolphins keep the Lombardi Belt
Browns beat the Chargers -> Chargers take the failbelt

Week 9 Colts beat the Dolphins -> Colts take the Lombardi Belt
Chargers beat the Chiefs -> Chiefs take the failbelt

Week 10 Colts beat the Jaguars -> Colts keep the Lombardi Belt
Steelers beat the Chiefs -> Chiefs keep the failbelt

Week 11 Patriots beat the Colts -> Patriots take the Lombardi Belt
Bengals beat the Chiefs -> Chiefs keep the failbelt

Week 12 Patriots beat the Jets -> Patriots keep the Lombardi Belt
Broncos Beat the Chiefs -> Chiefs keep the failbelt

Week 13 Patriots beat Dolphins -> Patriots keep the Lombardi Belt
Chiefs beat Panthers -> Panthers take the failbelt

Week 14 Patriots beat the Texans -> Patriots Keep the Lombardi Belt
Panthers beat the Falcons -> Falcons take the Failbelt

Week 15 49ers Beat the Patriots -> 49ers take the Lombardi Belt
Falcons beat the Giants -> Giants take the failbelt

I recognize those words, but not the order in which they appear. I think you mean that the Giants will lose next week, then will beat the Eagles in Week 17, then at the start of next year, the Chefs will start with it by virtue of having the worst record from the previous year.

I would prefer the Giants to lose out and not make the playoffs, but that's just me.
