Ok that's pretty funny. But now are we going to see a bunch of people photoshopping bread onto Summer Glau's head?

Gosh that McLaren is a gorgeous car. I wonder what it's like driving a car that costs more than I make in a decade.

I live about a mile and a half away from McLaren of Philadelphia, which is actually in West Chester. They typically have 4 or 5 of them in different colors. One of these days I'm going to get in an accident driving by from craning my neck. Actually saw an MP4-12C and a ZR-1 having some stoplight-to-stoplight fight not too far from there as well. Beautiful.

Yeah, about this description:
First, Treynor has awesome taste in cars.

I would say no, Treynor has more money than any of us will ever dream of and can afford to buy expensive exotic cars that most would consider "awesome" by default. Says nothing of his taste, only his money.

That doesn't make any sense. So with that thinking, no rich person has any taste, they just have a lot of money to buy stuff that normal people consider tasteful?

I didn't say they couldn't have taste. What I said was that the ability to buy expensive cars says nothing of their taste. Give me a few million dollars to spend and I'll come home with a nice trailor full of high end sports cars. Does that suddenly make me a car connoisseur or just some rich asshole with more money than he knows what to do with?

He doesn't buy shiatty expensive cars, he buys gorgeous expensive cars. For example, someone with poor taste but lots of money might buy a Lamborghini. He has not gone this route.

He has very good taste in automobiles.

You're right, the ability to buy tasteful cars says nothing of their taste. ACTUALLY buying them does though.

He could've gone all Dubai Sheikh and had the cars completely chromed out like this, or mangle a camaro like this, but he didn't. There's a lot of rich people with horrible taste, I would say he's not one of them.

That statement in and of itself is true - simply owning something that others consider tasteful doesn't mean you have the same taste. I would generally define taste as a heightened interest, appreciation, and understanding of a category of goods that typically of higher than average price (food, wines, cars, cigars, etc.)

But keep in mind to even consider being a connoisseur of (and therefore having taste in) high end cars, you must first be able to purchase said cars. And Treynor is not simply buying these cars and showing them off. He's active in several forums, for starters.

So I'd say comparatively to 99.99999% of the rest of the US, Treynor has a taste for supercars.

I was referring to a thread sometime back where a guy posted his Mercedes SL when someone called him out and he said something like "I hope you see this pic and it's pissed you off". Personally I love the fact the guy bought what he wants even though the Raptor is the gheyest vehicle on the road.
