Not an apologist but a backup QB coming off an injury plays 6 plays, picks up 2 first downs is actually middling performance and far from a Fail tag.

Didn't watch the game but from the tag was fully expecting to see a turnover or something.

Maybe Tebow will finally get to start for the new Jets coach next season.

Compared with some of Sanchez's plays last night that was almost Namath-esque.

jacksonville as a backup because despite everything he doesnt have the mechanics to be a pro qb, unless a team wants to dedicate bringing the college option to the nfl.

That said I think he would probably fit best (as a starter) on the chefs next year as they have a stud rb and a good defense that could him up similiar to when he was in denver. He already proved he was a better option than brady 'courageous' quinn.

i also think this would be a bad move long term for the chefs, particularly if they aspire to anything greater than 8 and 8.

/who knows maybe they want to settle

Also the no receivers thing. There is no help from the wide outs for either qb

This would seem like the most likely scenario, but if Jax really wanted him, they could have had him at least a half dozen times in the past couple years. I suppose the Jets would take just about anything for Tebow at this point, so maybe Jax just burns a 6th rounder or something like that on him, but at the same time, they're probably going to be drafting a new QB again this year, and having Tebow on the roster might not be worth the headache.

He's backup material at this point; probably hook on with someone like the Pats or Steelers, a team that is set at QB, and confident enough in themselves to know the fanbase won't get silly an start demanding Tebow at the first sign of trouble. Hoodie apparently loves him; I could see them flipping Mallet to a desperate team for a 2nd or 3rd rounder just based on potential, then trading a ham sandwich to the Jets for Tebow.

This. One really can't justify any other role for him unless he willingly switches to fullback.

Honestly Tebow should be out of football next year because he still refuses to fix the bad throwing mechanics he has. he shouldn't even be a backup. He can become an inspirational speaker or something, but his NFL career should be done.

As long as Locker, Sanchez, and Gabbert are still in the league, Tebow belongs in the league too.

Internet Fist Bump. Yesterday was Redskins day, today is Jets day, tomorrow we may get some threads about a worthwhile team. Still won't be the Seahawks though.

Weeping in front of a TV watching Redskins and Seahawks games imagining what life would be like if he could run AND pass.

That or settling into a fullback role somewhere.

Or getting embarassed in the CFL.

I'm just saying, he has options.

CFL QBs have to able to throw the ball accurately over a distance. He's not skilled enough for the CFL.

Regardless of how you feel about Tebow you have to admit he's a beast athletically.

It would scare me to death as a Steeler fan if Hoodichick ever got a hold of him because you know he would actually find a way to utilize that talent.

This. As a Titans fan, I have to say Locker is less-talented than Tebow. Now don't get me wrong. I don't want Tebow on the Titans, but then again, I don't put much faith in them being smart about picking up a QB in the draft, either.
