tenpoundsofcheese: and people wonder why we have such a culture of violence in this country.geesh.
Confabulat: The Wire
log_jammin: Confabulat: The Wireone show I want to see badly, but never had the chance to watch it.
Confabulat: log_jammin: Confabulat: The Wireone show I want to see badly, but never had the chance to watch it.I would be very jealous of anyone who gets to sit down and watch The Wire from uh, the beginning to the end for the first time ever. There aren't many TV shows, much less forms of entertainment, out there that excellent. Just like Breaking Bad, every scene means something. It can get a little fantasy too, but hell if I ever cared.
hulk hogan meat shoes: Breaking Bad is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overrated.
log_jammin: hulk hogan meat shoes: Breaking Bad is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overrated.how so?
sexorcisst: Because it's a cool show, it is more cool to be the one that says that it isn't cool.
sexorcisst: /seriously I think that show is so great that it is barely subjective and rather just a fact.
aiiee: People make mistakes, it doesn't really matter.
MayoSlather: And yeah Dexter isn't what it used to be, but 57? No. Still a top 20 show.
MayoSlather: Girls doesn't belong in the top 50. I'm not the demo, but still that show is a flaming pile of shiat. And yeah Dexter isn't what it used to be, but 57? No. Still a top 20 show.
foo monkey: I don't get it either. Every character is unlikable and not funny. There are great shows built around characters that are pathetic wrecks, but girls is terrible.
xcv: Sons of Anarchy's score, is that based on fast forwarding through any scene with the wife and/or mother?
Dancis_Frake: I really like that show but any interaction with Jax's GF or ex bores me to death within 5 secs (Katey Sagal gets a free pass).
Inevita: Okay, I watch not a lot of television (cannot wade through the dreck), but I loved The Wire, The Shield, Terriers, and Deadwood; now I watch Justified and Sons of Anarchy. What I cannot watch is Breaking Bad, and I just do not understand why. I have tried to watch it many times, especially in the first and second season, but I just do not get the love for this show. I wanted to like the show, I found its premise very interesting. It is a mystery to me. People keep telling me how good it is, and I seem to be completely missing the reason why. I tried Homeland and found it ridiculous, and Mad Men is so very boring it makes me want to scream. But Breaking Bad, I cannot get into it at all.
Baryogenesis: MayoSlather: And yeah Dexter isn't what it used to be, but 57? No. Still a top 20 show. This season definitely made up for the lackluster 5th and 6th seasons.
MightyPez: Different strokes, I suppose. I'm in the same boat with Dexter. I thought it was amazing the first season, the 4th season was a small return to that (thanks to John Lithgow), but after the 5th season I just stopped watching. I's utterly unwatchable to me and I can't get back into it. Other people love it still, and that's cool. But it's a show that I had to abandon. And that's rare for me.
Mugato: Season 7 though was awesome so if you ever try to get back into it I'd go straight there.
FeedTheCollapse: Mugato: Season 7 though was awesome so if you ever try to get back into it I'd go straight there.I didn't think Season 5 was that bad, it just didn't entirely resolve anything involving Rita's death. Season 6 is largely skippable, though. I do think the Hannah plot from season 7 felt like where Dexter was going to be at in season 6: Dexter looking for a genuine love interest who would love him as a whole, not just the Dexter he plays up to the public.
modesto: I will continue to watch though because it is better than most crap out there, and I've had a crush on claire danes Morena Baccarin since whenever the hell my so called life Firefly came out and I was like 12.
frepnog: This season (7) was pretty good, they built up a great bad guy.... and then killed him 3 episodes before the end of the season and meandered around with nonsense until once again, the best scene of the season was the last scene of the last episode.
MightyPez: Inevita: Okay, I watch not a lot of television (cannot wade through the dreck), but I loved The Wire, The Shield, TerriersI thought I was the only person who enjoyed that show Terriers. I am sucker for low life ,scrape by stories.I always enjoy Donal Logue in anything he does.He now has supporting part in SOA and will no doubt play a major story line out in next season.
