(Some Lions Guy)   Why Jim Schwartz may be given second chance as Detroit Lions coach, despite four-year record of 22-40 that is superior only to the immortal David Shula   ( divider line

He may be a horrible coach, but at least he is a horrible person too.

given the options (its not like top men are lining up to work for the fords), so unless they can get a proven commodity i think schwartz might be the best option.

Quasar: The Lions are sloppy, undisciplined, violent, and monumentally underperforming.

That's why they fit so well in Detroit.

Jim from Saint Paul: I am not completely letting him off the hook. I am suggesting that O-Line is bottomo 5 in the league awful and that WILL affect how your QB plays

Unless you're on the Bears, in which case people will say the QB sucks even though he has no line and one receiver.

Jim from Saint Paul: thecpt: Jim from Saint Paul: Who's fault is it that the secondary is hurt, their Offensive Line is god-awful and they have had no running game since they beat Barry Sanders into submission with their awfulness?

Cause they got a QB. They got a decent enough WR core. They have a talented D-Line. Their LB's are serviceable.

They had a running game with Best, but he currently can't count to potato.

But seriously, that offense is suspect. Stafford's completion percentage is atrocious, and that big bad D-line seems to be softening.

They had a slasher. Best was solid, and could catch out of the backfield.

When was the last time they could line up and get 3 yeards when they needed it by running on third down?

Stafford's completeion precentage is indicative of him being handed his ass all the time.

considering staffords fragile health history im surprised he hasnt exploded leaving just a shoe and some ash on the field.

/remembers 2 years ago when an arm tackle around the foot put him out

Can't they sacrifice a goat or some chickens at midfield in the off season or something? Cursed team is cursed.

/Maybe that would work for my Raiders
//it's hard to be a Raiders fan

At least the Raiders have been to the super bowl in the times of picture radio.
