Anyone know how this works from a salary perspective? I know that when you get cut in the NFL, they owe you the rest of your salary for the rest of the year. If they pick you up, do they have to pay you again? If not, what's the incentive for players to play the last couple weeks instead of healing up for next season?

Contracts have performance incentives that may make it worth it to try and hit X number of catches/TDs/receiving yards. When a player is traded, their contract goes with them.

The official Seattle excuse was that he was injured. The unofficial excuse is they got tired of him running the wrong routes and getting FALSE STARTS as a WR.

They are eliminated from the playoffs at this point, right? They can't catch Indy for WC1, but I haven't gone through every possible scenario for WC2

I take that back. If Jets win out, Cinci loses out, and Pitt loses to Cleveland, then the Jets are in.

Not quite. If they win out and get some help, they can still make it.

Sounds like it could be 2009 all over again for the Jets. Except they didn't have consecutive 20-point losses in 2009 like they did this year -- they're not going back to the AFC Championship game.

The Jets are a couple of o-linemen and an average QB away from being awesome.

"He passed the physical, he's cleared to practice. I'm optimistic he'll be able to play on Monday but I'll learn on our trainers and doctors," Ryan said.

Whut?

I was gonna complain in the Raw thread, but who am I kidding. Jets/Titans only qualifies as football through technicality.

And to think, I made this!
