Is this an Onion article?

The NFC east is so bad that 9-7 might win the division again. 8-8 could even win it.

Washington plays Dallas week 17 so the division winner will have at least 9 wins.

But ties never happen.

8-8 certainly can't happen and, yes, I understand they could tie but I refuse to recognize that as an outcome. I'm not here to debate the OT rules or anything but most times regular season OT games aren't very exciting, especially if you are an unbiased spectator. The entire OT period could be condensed to a couple highlights in under a minute. If you watch a game from start to finish and it ends in a tie you've just spent 4 hours watching ~30 minutes of action and at least 3 1/2 hours of commercials and down time. I love the NFL as much as the next guy but, for me, that makes for quite an annoying afternoon. Those numbers are even worse when it's a primetime game.

The first part of this season When we dropped a 40 burger on the fricking Saints, and then started to prove that we had the most exciting player in the NFL under center, I felt like saying, as my Jewish friends do "Dayenu" -it would have been enough

When we Smashed the Cowboys on a national stage: "Dayenu"

When we avenged our last-second loss to the giants with a 1-point win "Dayenu"

When Kirk Cousins ran for two and took the ravens to overtime "Dayenu"

But to still be part of the football conversation on Dec 17, to be leading the division with two games left, to be set up for a "win or go home" showdown against our most hated rivals? To have, for just a second an echo of RFK's upper-decks shaking as fans screamed "we want Dallas!" going into the playoffs?

Who could have asked for such a thing? Go to playoffs or not, go deep in the playoff or not, this has been a berry berry good season to be a 'Skins fan

You are qualified to play QB for the Eagles then

Kirk Cousins is the 3rd best rookie QB of this draft.

Behind RG3 and Wilson.

Still think Luck sucks donkey balls relative to his peers. Dude is getting bailed out by his D.

I actually think that with the new playoff format, ties might become more likely. Teams still approach OT like the old format -- they get into field goal range and get really conservative with the ball. They also use up their timeouts trying to set up the perfect field goal or icing the kicker. With that said and done, if they split the opening possessions and are still tied, suddenly you're down to 7-8 minutes of football left and neither team has timeouts.

We've already had one tie this season and I know of 2 other games (Houston vs somebody and the 2nd 49ers-Rams game) that went really deep into OT (past the 2-minute warning) before someone kicked a field goal.

That said, it'll be interesting if the Redskins-Cowboys game goes deep into OT. A tie is basically a win for the Redskins, so you might see them suddenly start running the ball and purposely staying in-bounds with no urgency to actually score if it gets down to the ~4 minute mark or so (especially if the Cowboys are out of timeouts).

You and Wilson's mom are the only 2 people in America who think he's better than Luck, and she's not so sure.

I also give Cam two thumbs up too. It is just PR, but in a league that is all about the tough guy image, he appeared in a commercial where a 9 year old talked huge smack to him and he played along great.

Nah, it's a case of mix and match: Some teams are a match for the other.

So basically the Skins could be pull what the Cards did in 2008?

Not to mention that the Giants, from the NFC East (not having a great record in either title run), are the defending champions. People were saying the NFC East sucked last year too, but it didn't.

Magorn: When we Smashed the Cowboys on a national stage

You must have a different definition of "smashed" than most people, it was a one score game. It was kind of like the Niners/Pats game yesterday.

Well, Magorn is apparently a member of the team, so let's extend a little latitude. A little hysteria is probably in order seeing as how the last time Washington won the division was prior to the turn of the century and they've only had 3 winning seasons since then.
