FTA: They are anticipating good material; it focuses them more and makes the subject more interesting to them.

So how long until the novelty wears off and it becomes the next big thing to bore the students, just like SmartBoards, video projectors, and color television?

Without a good teacher, the average child's resting state in school is boredom. All the cute gimmicks wear off eventually, and students inevitably fall back to it.

That's exactly what I thought.

When we had to watch a filmstrip, no one paid attention. Not even the kid who was supposed to turn the strip! When there was a projector in the room we would get a little more excited because now, moving pictures! But still not all that good. When we had a TV in the room, then we knew something cool was coming up. By high school, no one watched the TV, just slept.

CokeBear: 3D gives me a headache

3D used to give me a headache, then I updated my glasses prescription, and now it doesn't.
When you are reading is there a slight shadow to all the letters where you non dominate eye isn't placing the letters in the exact same spot as your dominate eye. They put a slight prism in my prescription, took a while to get used to but reading and 3D are way better.

3D certainly does a number on my pupils.

3D improves test results, and test results are all that matter.

If only teachers came in 3D.

I'm blind in one eye. I don't like paying for a dimension I'm not going to use.

Pay me the extra $5 and I'll stand in front of you and splash water in your face periodically to give you the 4D-1D effect!

Well duh...make them wear stupid goggles so that the only thing they view clearly is the screen, then they won't look at their phones, notebooks, notes to their friends, the wall, etc.

Next step: teaching through Virtual Reality Porn..

"So, if Vanessa kneels here and strokes you at a rate of 80 strokes a minute. how many strokes will she perform in an hour?"
Billy: "120"
Teacher: "Hmm.. I'm not sure you understand. Ok, let's make this easier.. how about 100 strokes a minute? How many would she give you in an hour?"
BIlly: "100.. and I'm not sure YOU understand, but I can prove it if you like."

Me too. I saw "Toy Story 3" in 3D and I had a headache before the movie even began.
