Call me a pedant, but that is not deep sea diving.

Is that tornado a giant fish orgy or is there a shark or something stirring them up?

Wasn't that part of the piranha movie? The piranhas swarmed around their prey like this and ate every single piece of meat?

Its called a bait ball, and anyone who's watched a BBC ocean documentary in the last 15 years will have
seen it.

I've seen that (as recently as last week), but with small fish while snorkeling in shallow water.

Ran right into the bastards, and it's disorienting as all fark (is the ground moving? Is it just the fish? What the fark is going on here?)

// I have video, but have not pulled them off the camera yet.

It is, but only because he's a chronic masturbator.

I've never seen this diving, but I see it every weekend for most of the spring when I fish for trout at night under a spotlight. The minnows circle the light just like this, often 50 to 100 feet in diameter. If you get a large spotlight and shine it into the water you can see 15 - 20 feet down and there's no end in sight to the fish tornado (I suppose that's the technical term). I have no idea how big the swarm actually is.

What the hell is wrong with you people.

Third thought.

"Fish tornado" is certainly more provocative than a "school of fish,"  I'll have to use it in my next love poem.

Tornado of Fish sounds like the title of a Megadeth parody song.

/someone more clever than me can take over

I was hoping to see a fish vortex moving so fast it was sucking air down from the surface the way a hurricane does when it churns the air and causes the vacuum of space come down a suck up things like barns and cattle.
