(Maui News)   This holiday season, the cops are harassing homeless people as usual. Just kidding, they got thirty kids from the local shelter for homeless families, and took them toy shopping   (mauinews.com) divider line 18

Every other day of the year, they are busy harassing homeless people.

But one good deed makes that all okay.

Season's Greetings!

Let's hope the kids don't take their new stuff to the pawn shop and pawn it for rotgut.

I hope their parents don't either

They're really pushing this PR campaign...

The other 66 kids hopefully learned that they can earn worthiness next year if they work a little harder at school. Having no permanent address, an unstable family situation, and lack of supplies is no excuse!

I can only hope the good 30 children make a point of shaming the others into being better people by taunting them with their toys this holiday season. After all, each of those 30 kids got a $100 spending spree plus extra presents. The bad 66 got nothing! It's not quite as valuable a lesson as a lump of coal, but I think it'll work.

I love a feel-good story this time of the year. Merry Christmas!

The even better thing is the rewarding of fail. What better value to teach our children than that if you are a loser, and have loser parents, then people will step in and take care of you even though you did nothing to deserve it. And it teaches the corollary principle that people who actually, you know, work for a living and take care of their children should be punished by nobody coming to give them jack squat, but instead, taking their shiat from them to give to a bunch of slacker losers.

Reward that fail, America! Punish success, reward parasitism!

You see, the thing about trolling is that it has to be at least SOMEWHAT believable. This isn't. at all.

/take a break, then come back and try again.

Obamacare will be kicking in soon. You will no longer be denied mental health coverage because of your existing mental illness. Please, get help, or you will end up in an institution, either criminal or psychiatric.

Get help.

Is this anything like that fake homeless guy who got those boots in that staged photo a while back?

But the rest of they year, they treat homeless people like garbage.

They have homeless on Maui?

Ah, I looked to see where Wailuku was on the island and now I understand. The ONLY crappy part of the island is around the airport.
