Hasn't it already been proven that Crowder started the disruption and that AFP in fact tore their own, mostly empty tent down themselves?
The large tents were put there just to create a disruption already, and were hardly even being used, when the AFP assholes started kicking the poles out within.

Crowder already admitted that he was the one who started the ruckus, despite the Brietbart style editing of that tape.

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business - you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen" doesn't fit on a bumper sticker, so I guess that's why this person is ignorant of the context. Also, the person probably didn't have "a great teacher" in his or her life.

Twice in two years? Really? Ok, I just feel sorry for you at this point.

Goddman dude, cry more. This is why much of America regards the right wing as a bunch of whiny crybabies anymore. They take out of context quotes and drive them into the ground. They think failure is success. I, for one, would like to see the President co-opt Union thugs to beat the shiat of more conservative hippies, just like Nixon did in the 1960s. If there's one thing most everybody on Fark can agree on, the right needs a good ass whooping to make it see reality and get back on track.

/farking hotdogs, what's next with the crybabies?

I didn't cry about killing Big Bird. I went out and made sure the idiot(s) who wanted to do it never got into office. Also, I voted.

Instead the right just whines and cries about made-up "Union Thugs". The Tea Party lost. They poisoned your party. They only thing propping them up is a set of media figures who would sell their own mothers to make a buck.

Make no mistake. Obama was intentionally trolling conservatives with that statement. The whole thing was meant to anger them and he knew it. He touched on one of the right's rawest nerves: to have the audacity to suggest the fact that maybe they aren't the bootstrappy "rugged individualists" they claim to be and have actually *gasp* had a little bit of help from government programs to give them a leg-up in their successes. And the GOP took the bait handily and built up their entire convention against that theme ("WE BUILT THIS! DERP!!!). A convention that, if you recall, actually caused Mitt Romney's support to DECREASE rather than giving him the usual post-convention bounce. They played right into Obama's trap and didn't realize it until it was too late.

Let's ask Wikipedia:

When Anschutz started the Examiner in its current format, he envisioned creating a conservative competitor to The Washington Post. According to Politico, "When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz's instructions were explicit - he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee." The Examiner's conservative writers include Byron York (National Review), Michael Barone (American Enterprise Institute, Fox News), and David Freddoso (National Review, author of The Case Against Barack Obama).[4]

The paper endorsed John McCain in the 2008 presidential election[11] and Adrian Fenty in the Democratic primary for mayor in 2010.[12] On December 14, 2011, it endorsed Mitt Romney for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, saying he was the only Republican who could beat Barack Obama in the general election.[13]

If only they were rich and powerful enough to destroy an entire hot dog company, raping the pension funds of thousands of workers to pay themselves a handsome bonus for the hard work of loading the company with debt until it collapsed. Then they would be heroes. They could run for President as the GOP candidate with a record like that.

The guy was contracted by the pro-right-to-work people to serve refreshments; they paid in advance for several hundred hot dogs, and handed out coupons to people who wanted them.

In exchange for a probable payoff (that is not proven but these things are usually done on a cash basis), a bunch of punk thugs attacked him, beat him up, destroyed his business, called him a ni**er, an Uncle Tom, a scab, and numerous other unpleasant names.

It was pretty much done because he was 70 years old, had no weapons and could not defend himself. I got serious doubts those yellow bellied cowards would attack an able--bodied man.

The problem is that it wasn't phrased very well. Someone on the left, who basically agrees with the ideology, will give benefit of the doubt, and hear "Intelligence and hard work are necessary but not always sufficient for success, and the structure of the society you live in is responsible for a portion of that success."

Someone on the other side will hear "Intelligence and hard work are neither necessary nor sufficient for success, because some people have both and don't succeed. The only determining factor is the help you received from society." A plain reading of the text can easily support that interpretation as well.

It was basically an off the cuff statement, and the President didn't think very much, or at all, about how it would sound to anyone on the other side.

Dang, I'm jealous.

I'm over by UMSL so it usually takes about 20 minutes. But I've been taking 364/Page back home instead of 70 not so much the congestion moreso than the fact that no one around here seems to know how to drive in a construction zone.
