Mister Peejay: mbillips: So, currently their main exports are coffee, supermodels and U.S. Presidents. Seems a bit thin.

Coffee is more traded than oil. It's the world's biggest commodity.

Shut off the oil, meh I'll walk to work and weather leather clothes. Shut off the coffee, in about two days there will be worldwide riots the likes of which the world has never seen.

they will certainly be some of the most moody and lethargic riots ever seen.

BronyMedic: Oh, no. It's not that we invaded the wrong country. We did it 12 years too late, and for the wrong reasons.

This. GHWB should've let Stormin' Norman and Powell and all the rest finish the job. And then our first black President could've been a Republican.

Too bad for them, with actual mineral wealth, that means corruption will grow worse in the area as the greedy with means forcibly steal land so they are the ones that reap the profits from the minerals gained.

Doesn't basically every country have lots of titanium? IIRC it's the main component of white sand.

Titanium is cheap. Refining it is the expensive part, you need giant heaping boatloads of electricity. Like dedicate a nuclear or hydro power plant to your refinery kind of electricity.

ThatGuyFromTheInternet: Say, has anybody inspected their country for WMDs lately?

No. We're too busy paying attention to people who actually have them.
