There is actually no low to which these people can sink. Because they're not in it for their supposed beliefs, they're in it for a living. They employ full-time lawyers to file applications for demonstrations. Many are denied, and so then they file lawsuits under the first amendment - but of course they will usually settle for some money. This is what these people do. When they actually show up to "protest," they are usually there for about 30 minutes or less and then they get the heck out of there.

Therefore, the VERY best thing that we can all do is allow them to do whatever the hell they want. Let them hold up their signs, and laugh at them. They don't mean it. They've almost never meant it. Let them do their thing and laugh and laugh and laugh at them. But always let them do their thing. Because it is only in not being allowed that they make their dough. They must always be allowed. It is so irriating, I know. But they must always always be allowed.

Because if they have nobody to sue, they will eventually have to go away, because they won't have any money.

So is this the thread where we vent righteous indignation against lawsuit trolls, and pretend like these douchebags actually matter instead of just doing what we should be doing, and not giving them ANY attention, media or otherwise?

They protect free speech, regardless of the popularity of the group involved, or who douchebaggy their message is. During the Columbine memorial service a group of religious farkers showed up an did what they do: Handmade signs, screaming that god wanted the massacre to happen. (For all I know it was them.) A group of students gathered around them and started to sing 'Amazing Grace'. A bunch of other people joined in, and then more. Very soon the singing drowned out the vile screaming. No matter where they went, or what they said they were hidden and silenced by grieving people singing hymns.

That's what should happen tomorrow, instead of people screaming back at them.
