The bobcat was euthanized in what Sgt. Paul Edwards from the Bangor Police Department described over the phone as "the most humane way possible."

Kinda like being shot during during WWII and dying from war time injuries in the 1990s. That WWII shot was fatal.

Anything that involves tomato can be greatly improved by a little bit of chocolate- unsweetened chocolate, dark as a sinful heart.

且_(・_・ ) It's good shiat. I always chuck some chocolate into my tomato sauces.

Don't knock it till you try it.

OTOH, some of the weird crap people put in chili is just horrible and doesn't work. Did you know that some people put CHEESE in their chili? I bet the same people put mayo on their hotdogs because mustard is too spicy for their sensitive little tummies.

To be honest, I can see myself knowingly putting an injured unconscious bobcat in my car and trying to drive it to the vet. It's not smart, but it's something I could do if I panicked.

/wouldn't mistake it for a housecat, though

Yeah, I never got that. It basically just makes your chili a melty, stringy, inedible mess. If you can't take the spice, use sour cream.

Or just stop being a puss.

As far as the story goes, poor kitty... :(

This reminds me of the time I picked up a dying Bobcat Goldthwait off the side of the street, thinking it was a cat. I took it to a local vet, and after a cursory examination, they said "Sorry, sir, this needs to go to a hospital." So I asked them what animal hospital was nearby, and they said "No, a human hospital, this is Bobcat Goldthwait, not a housecat."

So I said "whatever" and just left.

And do you know about a year later, that cat went on to make "Shakes the Clown."

It's an excellent shortcut to produce a mole flavor. Try it sometime.

Also, this.

I captured an orphaned alligator by hand a few weeks ago so that I could take it to our local wildlife sanctuary. He was too young to live on his own but still a three foot gator with needles in his mouth. Hopefully, he gets a chance at life in a year or so when they release him into the Everglades.

Personally, I top my chili with some green onion, cheddar and sour cream. I can't take spicy hot due to an ulcer.. The most my tummy can handle is a Jalapeño, which is not really that hot on the scale... just nothing hotter than that.

Cut off the arms and legs and throw it in a body of water. It's the only way to tell whether it's a bobcat.

I don't put cheese in my chili, but I do put it on top of my chili. And at least for me its not to kill the spiciness, I just like cheese, and I'm more likely to have cheese in my fridge than sour cream.
My ex like to mix chili together with Mac & Cheese, but that was a bit too much cheese for me in that combo - I'd preferred them separate.

Cheese, crumbled crackers. Goes well with the tomato sauce, hamburger and kidney beans. When I'm feeling adventurous I add some salt and pepper too. Oh, garlic powder, for prostate health.

Don't be so quick to call other people dolts when you seem to have forgotten that fatal injuries kill the organism immediately. Some injuries take painful days or hours to die from.
