It saves teh step of gettign drunk before making typos. Nextt hing you know it it'll be sending drunken texts at 3am to exes.

Okay...

Here's my take: Alcohol lowers internal body temperature by stopping the constriction that leaves limbs to cool more in an attempt to maintain core temperature. If you're not going to have them be in the cold for too long, the alcohol could help reduce the effects of frostbite. IE they'd have less area frozen on their ears and such.
