Bohener is a moron.
It's "FartBONGO".

2012-12-14 10:25:34 AM
I'm picturing an oompa-loompa hopping up and down screaming "BUT THE RICH NEED THOSE TAX CUTS OR THEY WON'T MAKE ANY JERBS!!!!"

And that would be the sane part of the conversation...

"You like your coffee Black, Mr Speaker?"
"Yes, Mr President"
"Myself, I prefer to add a little...antidote"

2012-12-14 10:27:39 AM
I imagine it going something like this, "Please, let's just stall this until I am re-elected as Speaker. Seriously, do you want to deal with Cantor? You have to throw me a bone!"

2012-12-14 10:28:43 AM
Here's what I think.

I want politicians to at least be honest when they argue about stuff.

Boehner saying Obama thinks there is no spending problem makes it seem like Obama didn't have any spending cuts.

Obama did propose spending cuts.

That makes Boehner a jackass.

At least Boehner could be honest.

But since he's not, it makes me think his position is not that honest.

Also, if holiday break is coming up for them, yet they think this is important at all, they'll postpone their holiday break.

I come in on holidays or near holidays all the time when I have shiat to do.

Hell, I only get paid a fraction of what they do.

That is my opinion.

2012-12-14 10:28:56 AM
Boehner is not the problem; it's Cantor and his ilk.

2012-12-14 10:29:02 AM
Why won't President Fart just weaken his position like Boner wants? WTF is wrong with that guy?

2012-12-14 10:29:09 AM
Why would Boehner want to have a frank discussion with PresiDebt Bareefer HUSSEIN Fartbama al-Chicago?

i write sentences.

Then put line breaks in.

This makes my paragraph.

I hate that this has been called a "fiscal cliff." It isn't. It's the result of a farking deal they made last year. It's not disaster, it's just a change of economic policy that bumps up taxes slightly and cuts defense spending. Why is this being talked about like it's the same as a crash?

2012-12-14 10:32:02 AM
So when exactly DID the GOP turn into the party of total coontbags?

If Mitt was coming in, we'd be hearing all about how his family likes driving off cliffs (just like his dog loved being strapped to the roof).

1960, after Eisenhower; that was the last gasp the Republicans had before the Southern Strategy took over.

1970, when the GOP realized the South is full of total coontbags.

He doesn't need a deal, he'll get his tax plan regardless of anything Boner does.

And it is Speaker Drunky McCryalot

2012-12-14 10:47:01 AM
The sooner the GOP realizes they're in no position to play hard ball, the sooner they can move on and maybe get some of the spending cuts they want.

Tax rates on the wealthy are going up one way or another. If they try to hold out and no deal is reached, they'll have to face a Democratic proposed bill lowering rates for the middle classes.

I hope he does. Both men need to work to find the common ground that will get something accomplished.

Oh btw, you're misspelling the speaker's name. It's actually Boehner. No worries, happens to the best of us.

"The President wants to pretend that spending isn't the problem, that's why we don't have an agreement," Boehner said.

Yeah, cos Obama is the one pretending here.

Yeesh.

No, they won't. Since they control the House of Representatives, the GOP can refuse to advance out of committee any bill put forward by a Democrat. If that fails, they can refuse to schedule a floor vote.

And then the Democrats get to beat them with the "The GOP doesn't care about the middle class" in the midterms more so than they did last election cycle.

Not really. The President's common ground is with voters, Boner is welcome to join.

No I'm misspelling his name for comedic effect and also to indicate a lack of respect for him. You see, "boner" sometimes refers to an erect penis.
