He coulda done better... Boo!

Meh. That actually isn't that difficult. The biggest difficulty is having that many bowling balls to try it with. He's sponsored by Roto Grip, so I'm sure they supplied him with a ton of bowling balls and they are all drilled in the same fashion. I have quite a few bowling balls to work with... But they all have different coverstocks and are drilled differently for different oil patterns. Each would require a different line, increasing the difficulty significantly.

It would definitely be fun to try, though.

I thought he went 9 for 9, but it was more like 9 for 20. That record won't last long once this video makes the rounds.

I know bowling alley mechanics who do better than this on a daily basis while they're testing the equipment, just after oiling.

Would be more impressive if done with candlepins.

I could that too if Kinect Sports didn't take so long between turns.

Went back and it looked like he had 8 strikes and 7 misses. One of the lone pins must have fallen when out of the camera shot, so it would then be 9 strikes and 6 misses.

IlGreven, my friend, you are entering a world of pain. You mark that a 9, and you're entering a world of pain.

Then get a friend to record you doing it and post it on the internet, asshole. Otherwise, STFU.

Me. Or at least I think I could've when I was the mechanic at our local lanes. Of course I never knew that there was a record for that or I would have tried 15 years ago. Wooden lanes. House oil pattern. Easy as pie. Hell, I used to throw multiple strikes with my eyes closed because it was all about feel and muscle memory for me. My bowling partner would stand in amazment as I went at it. Once you get your balance right it's all about trusting your shot. My ex-wife was a 2 time Women's State Champion who I taught. I've won 7 City Championships but the best I've ever accomplished was 10th in the Men"s State back in 1997. I loved that sport but I just can't do it anymore.

The year I placed 10th in State me and my doubles partner had an offer to travel around the Southeast and bowl for a living. Some old guy saw us and decided he would sponsor us. Mainly in Amateur Tournaments but also in some Regonials. He had a few bowlers doing the same thing and offered to add us to the group. We received another call after a couple of weeks of waiting and it was the old man's son. He told us that his dad had suffered a heartattack a week back and died and he was going to cut people loose because it was his dad's passion and not his. I hated that he had passed but I'll tell you I was devaststed that I had lost my chance to do what I loved so much. It still bothers me to this day. And it is just the way my luck has always been.

Well, if you read the rest of what I said, you would know that I wouldn't be able to do it because I don't have the equipment. Excuse me for bringing some perspective to people less familiar with bowling.

For the beer man, it's always about the beer.

I worked my ass off to become half way decent at that game. I sucked at golf and wanted to do something, so I started bowling. When you bowl 3000-4000 games a year, for multiple years, you didn't get shait for free. It took a lot of skin to get there. That's why I quit working on automobiles and began working on bowling machines. Free bowling practice and I really loved doing it. And by the way, I was able to support myself very well for a while doing it, and it sure as fark beat working the 8am-6pm grind that I was on before that. I just wish that i could still do it today.

In this day and age, the only people "less familiar with bowling" wouldn't be on Fark to begin with, much less have a computer, or even access to electricity.
