Interesting tidbit... the guy behind the insane "Shakedown" device is the "fake Balloonboy" dad from a few years ago.

I want to get my husband some of the Kobalt things. Our Lowe's is either sold out, or doesn't carry them. :/ I'm getting a tad frustrated.

I am not sure which one is worse the perfect polly or the moran who is stabbing his ear drum...

I consider myself an intelligent man, and yet somehow I want just about every one of those things except for the "Giant Contraption to Barely Replace a Rubber Spatula." I almost said no to the Fake Parakeet, but then I saw how much the real parakeet wasn't terrified by it.

That old man just looked so happy with his pneumatic neck stretcher!

I'd actually be interested in that neck stretcher! Altho from the looks of it, I wouldn't expect it to last over 6 months since it looks like nothing more than a slightly thick balloon, so I figure it would be leaking well before a year's use.

Endive Wombat: the moran who is stabbing his ear drum...

That commercial reminded me of a video on here years ago. Someone compiled clips of people in these commercials failing at everyday tasks.

Found it!

Don't own but, I watched the video (note: beware any company that spells the aiming device on their gun a "site"). I appears to function as a spring-loaded shotgun, physically propelling a pinch of salt granules at a target. I'm sure it works fine, if the bug is sitting still (the salt dents aluminum foil from a few feet away). I don't think most bugs can withstand that much shrapnel.

Personally, I prefer the the tennis racquet-style zappers, since you can get them easily in flight (and the gun's 3-foot range is about arm's length anyway).

Undoubtedly, though, the gun is a way better gift, 'because it looks awesome it looks to be great fun to use ('til you have to break out the broom).

I bought one. Have it at home actually. Killed a spider and a fly with it. Ironically, if i let the spider live, it would have eventually killed the fly for me.
Range is pretty terrible, but it definately beats a rolled up newspaper. Been planning on buying some kosher salt and try it with that.

Thanks to you, my brother-in-law is now getting one. He got a box of .45ACP JHP for his birthday, so you saved me from doing a repeat. This thing is right up his alley. Looks fun!

What a stupid item. It takes up so much space for something that's probably "useful" once every few months (shaking peanut butter, really?) and for what it costs, you'd wait forever for the payback on 3 cents worth of ketchup and 2 cents worth of mustard.
