karnal: Crewmannumber6

saw about 2 minutes of it last night. Just bad timing I guess. About 20 old guys I didn't recognise in black t-shirts giving each other really awkward hugs and an embarrassing collective bow. I didn't stick around for any more, I figured the benefit concert circuit must be a little too crowded lately.

That was Roger Waters, Eddie Vedder and the band, Dumbassnumber6.

I don't know Roger Waters to look at him, never cared about Pearl Jam, and didn't spot Robbie Robertson. Sorry.

Yes!

ChrisDe: labbal: Look, I don't want to complain on Fark. But then I wouldn't be a Farker, would I?

This thing was broadcast on eleventy million channels, Youtube, and I'm sure other websites that would try to infect your computer with malware but Fark couldn't get a greenlit thread inplace for a 4 1/2 hour benefit concert?

l

Was it scheduled to run 4 1/2 hours? Because it ran almost 6. I had it on all night, wasn't glued to the TV but I thought they did a pretty good job. Most of the acts brought their A game. IMO.

Dish said 7:30p to 12:00a on the channel I was watching. I had to go to sleep (boo!) so I DVR'd it but I am going to be really, really mad if it went past midnight and DISH stopped taping and I missed NirBeatlesvana

Really?

There was so much material available to snark on.
There was so much material to go "America, Yeah!" to.

Jon Bon Jovi unable and not even willing to try hitting WHOAAH-OH! LIVING ON A PRAYER! Every. Single. Time. (and so help me, after the key change...pure gold).

The Who dropping F-bombs like they're rebels or something.

Eric Clapton absolutely KILLING it!

Congrats, Fark.

/greenlight effing Honey Boo Boo threads
//can't greenlight something actually worthwhile on both a humanitary and comedy level

Fark has been going downhill liberal for a decade.

FTFY

Clapton with the stripped down band was outstanding , but Richie Sambora popped a few buttons on that shirt around the gut....

Cover the bottom half of the picture and look at her eyes.

That's not a smile. That's lips pulled back with teeth showing, but it is not a smile.

That's called the "Giada".

She's on heroin. Isn't it obvious? Wouldn't it explain her odd behavior?

/don't know anything about her behavior, just guessing

Steve Jordan with Clapton's band KILLED IT.

Oh and I'm no expert, but Stewart certain looks like she's on H.

Gunny Highway: karnal: Name a rock star of his stature that isn't.

I saw him this summer. He did a duet with himself. The guy really loves himself.

Clapton did not come off that way last night.

You see acts with multi-million dollar stage, lights, and pyro, with brass sections and backup dancers and singers, and there's Eric Clapton killing it with just himself, a bass player, and a drummer.

So did she just make that face and it froze that way?

Pardon me, but could you help out a fellow American who's down on his luck?

I hate to Studman her, as she is usually pretty hittable, but she wasn't looking so hot last night. She really reminded me of that kid who went crazy in Chronicle.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the great Nathan East on bass. And last night was just another example of why I still love Clapton. Watching him play is like a religious experience for me. Afterall, he is God.

For those very few who don't get it.

Just watched Safety Not Guaranteed last night. Aubrey Plaza doesn't seem to have much more range than this coont, but Gawd is she adorable! And she comes across as likeable. Two things I wouldn't credit to Miss Stewart.
