Now that they clinched an early go-home berth, the Eagles will play much better and might actually win.

Since a win for the Eagles will hurt their position in the draft, I can say with some confidence that they'll pull off a win.

The rest of your post is a mirror of how I feel right now. Only the second time Ive made it to the playoffs in the 10 years I have been in my FFL. Dalton better get HUGE points tonight!

Okay, yeah. Playoffs FF. I have Dalton who has started sucking in the last few weeks and I really want to know if I should start Cousins against the Browns instead. Tried to pick up Wilson and failed. Anyone have insight? I know the Eagles secondary sucks as a team, but I don't know whether I should trust Dalton.

I'm confident, as a life-long Eagles fan that either Marcus Aurelius will prove correct or, more typically, they'll choke away a lead late to make everyone feel stupid for having stayed up and missed having sex with the wife. THAT's the "Philadelphia Way."

I drafted 9th in my league and took him. He's definitely come on strong the past month, but yeah he pretty much put me out of playoff contention early on.

Picked up Cincy's defense just for tonight. It's been that kind of season.

Dalton would seem like the play to me, though Philly isn't terrible in passing defense this year. 229 yards per game, which is middle of the pack. They give up 119 a game on the ground.

I might go with Weedon (if available) rather than Cousins though if you're just not sold on Dalton. The Redskins this year are giving up 289 a game (only Tampa is worst), with 27 TD's.

As long as we're talking FF, I should actually be stoked about Newton as I set up our league so the non-playoff participants compete for the draft order next season. The higher you finish, the better your pick as there's always incentive to win. None of this tank-your-team-for-number-one BS. The playoff teams of course round out the bottom of next year's draft.

I actually had a pretty strong team this season until both my running backs got hurt (Run DMC, DeMarco Murray), they were each out for over a month and I couldn't buy a win. Although I'm actually critical about McFadden and if he's more bust than player even when healthy. Two cents, anyone?

Plus, I'm in a 15-team league where the waiver wire has less talent than Rebecca Black. Which can suck but, what are you gonna do. To solve this dilemma our league is bringing in a 16th player and we're dividing into AFC/NFC next season and not sharing the same player pool. Our Super Bowl will probably have some player overlap. I love the idea of it coming down to just kickers.

I love this article by Berry Link

I traded for him this year the game before he got hurt. He was worth Matty Ice in my mind, considering I had RG 3 and it was post bye week.

He's a good player but he's NEVER healthy, so it really doesn't matter if he's good when he is healthy.

Do the Eagles stand a chance with Foles? I know they have a better chance than with Vick, but is it really a chance?

As for FF, I have Schaub against Indy and Manning jr against ATL.
(opponent has Ryan vs NYG and, groan, Stafford in AZ...that second one could will hurt me)

Ray of hope - I picked up David Wilson this morning.

This is most likely grossly unfair but when I think of McFadden I immediately picture the original "Die Hard" when one of the "badass" SWAT team guys accidentally brushes against a thorny flowerbed next to the Nakatomi Plaza and squeaked out an "Ow!" like a nine-year-old girl.

FF Playoff time and I'd like some Fark input. Two WR slots, two RB slots and a flex W/R and W/T slot. I have available:

WR: Cruz, Givens, Crabtree, Boldin and Brown
RB: Rice, Peterson, Morris, Wilson

Looking at starting:

WR: Cruz, Crabtree
W/T: Givens
RB: Rice, Peterson
W/R: Morris

Any reason to switch that up or should I just roll with it?

2012-12-13 12:32:09 PM
Ok, quick fantasy question. I can start 3 RBs, and I have the following on my roster:

Benjarvis Green-Ellis
C.J. Spiller
Darren Sproles
Alfred Morris
David Wilson

I'm in a PPR league (otherwise Sproles is less valuable). Which three do I start? I think Spiller is the only no-brainer.

Yeah, with how many drugs people go through just to get on the field in the NFL...I mean, RGIII is like "oh, I just sprained knee ligaments - I'll be back playing next week."

I think we get a really warped sense of how much that sh*t hurts by how quickly people come back from (or how often they play through) injuries in the NFL.

It's still too early to decide. He's not doing everything, and he still does have a knee injury. They are just saying that he's barely favoring his knee and expanding his drills over yesterday.

It sounds like he's starting though, unless there's a setback later today.

2012-12-13 12:38:09 PM
I really wish that I hadn't caught bits of the Eagles game last Sunday- Foles showed just enough promise that I wavered like hell on picking the Bengals tonight, and I still wouldn't be shocked if Philly came out guns blazing. I have to work until roughly the start of the second quarter, but this game should be entertaining as hell.

I really wonder how many anti-inflammatories, how many stim sessions, how many trigger point injections, and how many pain killers those guys run through during an injury. Considering they'll play though spleen injuries, I'm sure there is no shortage of guys saying "do what it takes."

Yea, I've got the Bengals in this contest.

Despite the epic collapse of Arizona last weekend, and the Philly 'win', I expect a blowout.
