Good thing "Paul McCartney" is used to replacing a dead bandmate.

As a Nirvana and Beatles fan i can agree that that wasn't really nirvana but just the remaining guys from nirvana playing together for the first time in years.... but that being said calling it Nirvana just to stick it to Courtney Love makes it all worth it so call it Nirvana!

STRYPERSWINE: Krist is tied with Bobby Dall for "worst bassist ever"

There's a Michael Anthony on line 1 for you; he wants to know where you get off forgetting all he did to make everybody else in Van Halen sound mega-talented.

Ever think you would see a stage with an equal number of Germs and Beatles members on it?

Bacontastesgood: So this is pretty much just a Dave Grohl song, but still way better than the Beatles "reunion" song "Free as a Bird", which you could even tell Paul hated being part of because it was half baked.

Gotta give McCartney credit -he's 70 and farking rich, doesn't need to do these things, and still looks way better up there than the Rolling Stones. Maybe that's why he's still doing it, just to tweak Jagger for half a century running.

Ah, yes, the Threetles.

Fun Fact: Free as a Bird was a Lennon track he recorded on an out of tune piano while trying to write a broadway musical. Yoko found the tapes years later and they were warped by heat and it took Jim Keltner (Ringo replacement drummer) and Beck of ELO 5 years of audio decompressing and cleaning to get the audio up to snuff. The Threetles come in and record over it. Literally the week after the song was released, Yoko found a pristine copy of Free as Bird in the attic of her house.

That's not quite the name I heard, but good on him anyway.
