Walker: If Kurt Cobain wasn't there then Nirvana didn't reunite on stage.
thismomentinblackhistory: Courtney Love probably deserves some credit for uniting the rest of the band and keeping them close.
Gunny Highway: This thread is going to blow.

Bacontastesgood: So this is pretty much just a Dave Grohl song, but still way better than the Beatles "reunion" song "Free as a Bird", which you could even tell Paul hated being part of because it was half baked.Gotta give McCartney credit -he's 70 and farking rich, doesn't need to do these things, and still looks way better up there than the Rolling Stones. Maybe that's why he's still doing it, just to tweak Jagger for half a century running.
Englebert Slaptyback: More: Cool, Paul McCartney, Kurt Cobain, nirvanas, New York, Krist Novoselic, Pat SmearThat's not quite the name I heard, but good on him anyway.
EyeballKid: Good thing "Paul McCartney" is used to replacing a dead bandmate.
WhippingBoy: Did they do "Wonderful Christmastime"?Every time I hear that song, I kill an animal out of spite.
abhorrent1: Nirvana sucked then, they suck now. Somethings never change.
spacemanjones: Anyone know what that guitar was?
Chainsaw Turd Elf: I thought it was pretty damn good. Here's the youtube link....Link
WTF Indeed: So having cornered the Baby Boomer market on nostalgia, Paul is going after the Generation X market.I miss George.
abhorrent1: WTF Indeed: So having cornered the Baby Boomer market on nostalgia, Paul is going after the Generation X market.I miss George.Don't forget Bon Scott/hate the "I miss [insert name here]" thing//you really don't

jasimo: I thought it was quite douchey of Chris Martin to crack about how if everyone donated the average age of the musicians they'd raise billions."Yeah, pal, we're old, but we've got huge fan bases and they asked us to perform for charity. Sorry if our decrepitude is cramping your hipster style."
WTF Indeed: abhorrent1: Don't forget Bon Scott/hate the "I miss [insert name here]" thing//you really don'tScrew Bon Scott.I'm sure you miss someone that's dead. Isn't that what Death Metal is all about right?
Generation_D: That was pretty OK not bad great to see Sir Paul, great to see Nirvana. The "stand there and stare" American Express cardholder audience I could do without.Like old Soviet Politburo audiences were in the 80s, everyones there because of political strings and not because they were enthused for the music.// probably needed more alcohol.
abhorrent1: Friends or family sure. Some guy from England I've never met that wrote a few songs I like? No.Sure I may hear a song I like and think "wouldn't it be cool if they were still alive and making new music?" But they most likely would never cross my mind again unless I hear another song. I think it would be awesome if Freddy Mercury were still around and queen was still going (with him) Do I pine over the fact that he's not? Again, no.
