Can't find a link to it online, but someone in our Ag dept did an interesting cook-off.
Had males and females cook meals (of their own choice) and get rated by others who ate the food.
Then the Ag guys took a 12 oz sample meal from each cook, and tested it for nutrients, etc.

The results were that both genders did fine in the 'taste' dept,
but sadly the males produced meals with too much salt, too much fat, not enough fiber, and low on basic nutrients...

...Which sounds like a typical 'chef-made' restaurant meal in the U.S.

/made me laugh b/c that's been exactly my own experience... my guy can cook up a great tasting protein, but sucks at making a balanced meal.

You know what led me to start learning how to cook in my younger days?

I used it a couple of times, but I had a lot more fun with the 75-in-1 electronic experiments kit that my grandfather gave me.

When I was a little boy I think my parents were concerned that I was obsessed with a doll house I found in the basement. I loved the miniature furniture (had no use for the dolls). They replaced it by getting me into miniature trains, which I also loved. Still turned out gay as the day is long but God bless them, they tried.
