(Sports Illustrated)   Relationship between Charles Barkley and Dwyane Wade, last seen together in amusing ad campaign, takes a turn for the worse over something Charles said (correctly) about Wade's decreased productivity   (nba.si.com) divider line 24

Semi-correct - Wade was REALLY having to play under the rim earlier in the season - as he gets more time between him and his last surgery, he's regained some elevation and has started to be able to play a little above the rim. That said, he's definitely on the downhill slope and he's definitely LeBron's sidekick (which, BTW, remember when everyone made jokes about LeBron leaving to be Wade's sidekick? How about giving up some credit for being good enough to go to another Top-5 player's team and then turning him into a sidekick?)

But yeah, it seems like Wade and Chuck have broken up. I bet they're not even in each other's five any more.

Charles is a great commentator. Always honest, usually right(ish).

/Wade is killing me this year.

Agreed, and it pisses me off to no end watching Shaq interrupt him in nearly every TNT segment. Get rid of Shaq and put in Chris Webber.

When it was Charles, Kenny, Ernie, and Webber I watched every time they were on. I hardly ever tune in anymore. Shaq is terrible.

I do think Webber does a good job in his new position though.

No. What's LeBron's nickname again? No one expected him to be anything less than option #1 in Miami.

And as for this "story"....yawn.

I thought Shaq was going to be an undercover cop by now....

I love chuck. But, it sure seems like every "close" friend that he has had is leaving.

Michael, tiger, wade. Every time there is a story, it involves some part of chuck not talking to them anymore.

Granted, that is just three friends of the countless people that are probably around him.

Also, I never would've thought the difference between show and webber would be so big. I figured both would be bad, but webber does a really good job.

Barkley is usually spot on about things even though he puts them bluntly. That's why I like him so much, I am the same way. I piss a lot of people off from time to time, but I have told everyone up front that I don't have a filter. The only issue I have with him is he is an Aubie.

ROLL TIDE MotherFarkers!

Well, given that all of those three are high-strung b*tches, and Barkley is willing to criticize anyone's stupid mistakes (including his own), well, it makes sense.

/not like they're going to have stories of "hey, everything is okay!"

Wade: Tell LeBron to tell the media to tell him I'm good, cause I'm not speakin to him no more.

LeBron: He made his last shot, and that's like what, 100% fg percentage? ... Remember how nobody questions ME anymore because of MY awesomeness? Yeah, I remember that, too.

Wade's having a hard time accepting his aging. But that's okay, so did Jordan. No one likes to remember his Wizard years.

Wade is 30, though.

Chuck's commentary is right the fark on. Once you're past 30 in the NBA, you have to adjust your game. It's inevitable. You have to cope with younger who guys can jump higher, run faster, and react faster than you can. Barkley himself had to deal with this exact phenomenon, he should know!

Which is just one reason why you can't say Wade is the next Jordan.

Everyone ages differently, and Wade's definitely lost a step with all of his injuries, too.

Well, Barkley is right.

Anyways, the initial all-star results are out and somehow 2 players who have not played a minute this season (Bynum and Stoudemire) have more votes in the East than arguably the most productive center (Varejao) so far this season. This is why we can't have nice things.

For some reason, some people continue to think that the All-Star game should be a "Who has played the best month or so of basketball?" award.
