That farking reporter is drunk.

Does anyone in San Francisco actually care if anyone else follows the law? Even the police?

When I was driving home from the office tonight, some pissant in a fire engine red Ferrari ran a red light to turn left in front of me at about 60 miles an hour. For a split second, I considered not slamming on my breaks... no one else at that intersection bothered breaking for him, so I wouldn't have been blamed.

HotWingAgenda: intersection bothered breaking for him

BRAKING. BRAKING. BRAKING.

Sorry, it's not just you. Automotive forums are full of people who don't know the difference between break and brake. Autocorrect only exacerbates the issue. To brake is to stop or arrest. To break is to destroy, or take time off.  They are not interchangeable.

I stomped on these guys, but I considered not doing it. There were no other people breaking in that intersection.

One way? Round trip? How fast was he going?

Ferrari makes fire engines now? Sweet. Makes sense I guess in order to speed up the response time for 911 calls.

I will never condone driving drunk, because it puts innocents at risk. That said, 100 mph in a lamborghini while drunk seems like an awesome way to go out. awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, watch that turn, dude, death.

/we all got to go sometime, precious

I know I will get into trouble for my previous comment. All I'm saying is it seems like a better way to die than incontinent, in a hospital, surrounded by "family and friends". But only on a closed circuit track, where my life is the only one at risk.

If I knew I was going to go that way I'd sure as hell drive faster than 100.

I interpret "100 mph" as faster than sane person would go. And it's it's a nice, monkish, round number. But yeah, I'd be flooring it, laughing maniacally, and not paying any attention whatsoever to the speedometer.

If you come home drunk, go directly to bed. Being drunk and on facebook will never end well.

I assumed incorrectly the car was "borrowed" from the impound lot. So all this is is a guy that hit 100 with his buddies and posted on Facebook about it?

I demand Mr. T's badge for this.

I was going 70 miles an hour and got stopped by a cop who said,
"Do you know the speed limit is 55 miles per hour?"
"Yes, officer, but I wasn't going to be out that long..."

100 mph in a Lambo is like 40 mph in your POS Civic.

pfffftttt, after pulling his gun on McDonald's employees and getting caught driving drunk @ 130 mph, that Colorado cop kept his job. This idiot probably won't face any consequences for his actions.

Unions, is there anything they can't do?

And, says you, subby. I would gladly spend the rest of my life driving around drunk off my ass at 100mph in a Lambo. That would be awesome.

The flaw in that plan is that the end of your life wouldn't be that far off - better pack as much awesome into those few minutes as you can.

Genius.

What possesses so many people to post stupid, job-threatening bullsh*t online? THE INTERNET IS FOREVER. By the time you wise up and take it down, someone has already posted it somewhere else, or it's cached.

And this is the guy we're supposed to trust with a gun and a license to fark my day up if the mood strikes him?

I've already decided that once I get a terminal disease or what have you, I'm gunning my motorcycle into the Grand Canyon (or similarly bizarre place should I not be healthy enough to travel there). Fark it, man...who want's to die slowly and in a hospital bed? Motorcycles are my lifelong passion, and it only makes sense to die doing something you love.

My guess is the car was impounded and he took it for a spin.

So instead of his dept brushing this off he might get a stern talking to by his supervisor.

The problem with Ferraris is never the engine, it's the size of the hose that driver is equipped with.

Forget how fast he was driving or if he was drunk, the real question is: How did someone with a police officer salary get a Lamborghini?

2012-12-13 09:46:01 AM
So I'm guessing this was a citizen's impounded Lamborghini?

I'm more outraged about the theft than the drunk driving.

100mph isn't even particularly fast. That's 2nd gear in a lambo. I mean, it's only 20mph more than most people drive on the highway. Granted, in my 1995 pickup, 100mph is shaking parts loose and taking two lanes to go in a straight line... but in a lambo you'd be hard pressed to tell 60mph from 100mph.

Charles.
