(Daily Kos)   I know you're going to have a hard time believing this, but it appears there may have been a teeny-tiny bit of selective editing in the FOX news coverage of the MI union altercations   (dailykos.com) divider line 78

wow - the left is really working hard here to cover up the actions of what appears to be a very small group of people. There were thousands of union guys there and exactly two in the video seem to be out of line in any way. Why all the work to defend two idiots?

Just come out and admit that punching the guy was wrong and declaring that he had a gun was stupid. What's so hard about that?

Instead you guys look desperate and dumb trying to cover up all of this by saying the film was selectively edited and not proving that claim at all.

This is why you guys never keep the majority. You are so unable to admonish your own, that you scare people off.

That right there is some comedy farking gold.

They wouldn't have kept their senate majority TWICE if you morally bankrupt shiatstain clownshoes farktards hadn't run the likes of Akin, Mourdock, O Donnell, Angle etc.

I'm impressed. And I handicap you pretty heavily.

Weapons grade stupidity there Brad K Anus.

The only reason the GOP even has the house right now is their relentless gerrymandering. You haven't had an honest majority in YEARS.

doesn't the fact that they keep finding themselves in a position to lose the majority imply that the republicans can't ever keep the majority either? what point could you possibly be attempting to make here?

2012-12-12 06:14:53 PM
Fox news actually sent this guy down to antagonize protestors then to film them getting mad.

They are no longer just showing James O'Keefe videos they have started making them themselves.

If you check this guy's YouTube channel his whole shtick is to troll people and heavily edit his videos. You wouldn't have to send him to a union rally. Just send him to any random street corner and let douchebaggery with a punch-able face do its job.

Selective editing at about 0:39 mark shows what appears to be union guy attacking Crowder for no apparent reason. However, if you look closely, you'll see that the guy is getting up off the ground -- that he was NOT the one that became aggressive first.

Tents of that size are pretty heavy. You can't just pick up the edge and hold it high enough that the canvas comes off the ground all the way for someone to get out

You lift up the edge and two feet away is still on the ground.

I said this in the other thread earlier today - Google Steven Crowder and check out some of his other "journalism work." Essentially Fox News has themselves their own Fred Phelps, someone who intentionally goes into situations to cause strife and then plays the victim and / or "reports" on the story he just caused.

Too bad Hearst kicked the bucket, he could have used a douche like Crowder.

These people on the Right are becoming more and more dangerous every day. A house only a few blocks from where I live has had their Xmas decorations vandalized twice already this year - no coincidence that this house featured an Obama sign during the campaign. That's a shootin' offense here in GA.

Now we have Fox News inciting people to violence? Let me guess what will happen to them when people are actually killed and property destroyed: crickets from Law Enforcement.

Make no mistake, these hateful hillbillies will not go away. It will not get better. I have stocked up on ammo not because I'm terrified of black helicopters or Obama coming to take my rights, but because I see this segment of our population growing more angry, frustrated and vicious day by day. It is not too hard to imagine some national crisis setting these people off against their neighbors. The right has poured billions into building this monster, and even they won't have control of it soon.

That Fox can whip people up enough to go out and fight so hard for placing communist Chinese workers over Americans because they belong to a union is evidence of just how effective their brainwashing campaign has been. China is one big goddamned union, you morons. These idiots rail about anything they see as "socialist", yet can't get to Wal-Mart fast enough and hand over their paycheck to the Communist Chinese and the Walton heirs who wouldn't deign to spit on them. They somehow think that they have more in common, as Americans, with the CEOs and bankers who looted this nation's wealth. They are deranged and violent.

This will not get better.

Was it really necessary to make me watch the entire "unedited" video just to find out what I already knew, that the Fox guy was an agitator, a few of the union guys were typically thuggish and the Daily Kos writer was full of shiat?

Thanks a lot.

Not trying to insult you, but that's not really special when you consider that EVERYTHING coming from the Right is a lie. My divorce attorney pointed out to me once that my ex makes the perfect opponent because she is such a pathological liar that she reflexively LIES FIRST, then wonders about how to work the truth in, which is the opposite of how most of us think. Most of us think of the truth first and work back towards a lie in order to make it all work, but not her. He had so much fun with that in court, getting her to lie about stuff that didn't even matter and then showing the lie. Her attorney won't be putting her on the stand again any time soon.

And that's the Right. And they lie for the same reason my ex does, because they are wrong.

At this point, it wouldn't surprise me to find out the two in question don't even belong to a union or were paid to do this.

Koch brothers money in action.

Can't have unions because they give the employees too many rights. Bad.

So you mess with a man's means of making a living, during a weak economy, intentionally antagonize him, and then become indignant when someone gets punched in the face?

Then at one point, someone's wondering where the cops are. You mean those unionized law enforcement officials?

Here's a helpful little guideline: Don't attack union workers, and they won't punch you in the face...generally.

Seriously, is ANYONE surprised? Anyone?

Kos headline: Assertion
Kos article: No proof- just further assertion.

Luckily, Kos readers don't need proof. They just need the codependency of others saying they're correct.

I don't see why they bother to try and debunk that a reporter was punched for his aggressive questioning by a pro-union guy. Most of the Kos readers are fully in favor of violence towards their political enemies.

Where were all these brave folks in favor of punching pushy reporters when this happened? Well, my oh my, how did that reporter make it out alive. Doesn't she know that it's the TEA Party that is violent? Surely they knocked her down after the cameras stopped and beat her up. Oh... they didn't? Well you know they WANTED to. Which is just as bad.
