After everything he's done as mayor and governor, how about no.

I'm all for free speech, but any journalist talking about 2016 right now needs to be shot regardless of political affiliation.

Yep. I could use more than a month between election "seasons" to recover.

Don't watch much MSNBC then.

Her derpy army of chick-o-phants is hard at work trying to convince that she's the favorite candidate for 2016 already.

I have almost no issues with his performance as governor.

Straight to doom: Dr.Insano for president!

But he already won...

I've been saying this in the threads for the past month now but 2016 will be Deval Patrick vs Bob McDonnell

Don't necessarily want that, but that'll be the race

I don't see why they're bothering. I having it on good authority that Obama will suspend the election and declare himself dictator for life.

Deval Patrick, no.

Obama and Patrick are reportedly "close." I find it highly likely that Obama will turn over his campaign machine to Patrick, which is a pretty solid advantage. I think Patrick is terrible, but he has a shot at the nomination at least.

2016 is so last week. I'm more interested in discussing the possibility of a primary challenge against President Hillary Clinton in 2020.

Elizabeth Warren, perhaps?

Out of curiosity, why do you think he's terrible?

Looking at his policy positions, I line up with him at about a 90% rate... But I'm admittedly not really well-versed on the man.

I do agree with most of his positions, the problem is he doesn't DO anything about them. I also disagree with his opposition to casinos in MA. It would be a boon to the economy that is currently being lost to CT. .

The machine won't go to a single person. The staffers who worked on Obama's campaigns - the guys with the expertise in the system, who know it top to bottom and most importantly, know how to build one - will end up all over the place in the primaries.

I'll honestly admit I don't know much about Deval Patrick, though. There's no reason I should have rejected him out of hand; sorry about that. The potential Democratic lineup worries me.

McDonnell vs O'Malley? The VA-MD Irish fight?

Cuomo is just bullshiat. The only thing he can do to even look democrat is support socially liberal causes like gay marriage, which is fine in itself, but he only supported it to gain credit with democrats. In every other aspect, Cuomo is a rabid conservative who cuts the social safety net with a sense of abandon, and his election was even funded by at least one of the Koches.

If Cuomo is nominated in 2016, the democrats deserve to lose.

2012-12-12 03:23:41 PM
I have no idea on democrat nominees for 2016 but I would wager either Jeb Bush, or Marco Rubio for the republicans.
