I can see the appeal of the ruined Fresco. It has a very interpretative look to it. A very bold look that under the right circumstances could appeal to some folk including myself. One has to overlook of course, the intentions of the artist. Now on an ironic level I could see prints of this selling like hotcakes.

If anything the second painting makes the ruined first even worse. She has SOME talent. Nothing grand, but certainly better than that atrocity she created.

Moreover, Jesus now looks like he can count to potato. I like this modernist interpretation of the Savior.

I secretly wish that more stuff like the "restoration" would happen. People take everything too seriously. Besides, who are we to say that her interpretation doesn't look more like the actual Christ than the original?
