Based on what has come out and all the things that have been said in this and other recent threads i am leaning towards Mitchell I haven't seen this comic thing and nor will most of the people who see the movie so I don't think Abrams wouldlet that stop him from re-doing it. Maybe the movie will cover the events of the comic and then go forward from there..

if Carol Marcus is in it then I'm ok with that, just because the last movie to feature haer had Khan in it doesn't mean this one will. Besides, maybe we'll get to see David being conceived. Perhapse she'll be in later movies, perhapse Khan will too, personally i hope not. I would much rather see the Klingons or Romulans back as the enemy.

Summer Glau's Love Slave: mikefinch: bhcompy: After watching... not sure about Sybok. Granted it's an alternate timeline, but Sybok was always positive(and this character is exactly the opposite). Then again, Spock didn't have a girlfriend, either.

there is no point on the ear. And shots from the set show Quinto with ears on fighting a Cumberbatch without against a green screen...

So much for my theory.

*sigh*

Maybe he had surgery done to alter his physiology.

Wait.... WHY AM I HELPING YOU?!

andino: Ricardo Montalbán was 56 when the original "Space Seed" aired. Benedict Cumberbatch is 36 now. I don't think he's playing Khan.

He was 47 (born in November 1920) when "Space Seed" first aired in 1967.

Unless he lied about his age. Who in Hollywood doesn't?

After watching the Japanese trailer I think it could be a distinct possibility. Especially when he says...

Is there anything you would not do... for your family?

Look at the hand again. Looks like a man's hand (Cumberbatch) with Spock in the background...

Wasn't Sybok the black sheep of the family?

Well if Sybok's mother is human (Amanda) then it could be possible... although in the original canon Sybok is Spock's half-brother.

I......can't do basic addition, apparently. I meant to say 46 because his birthday is late in the year and the episode came out early in the year.

Yes, that's it.

/anyway, thanks for correcting me
